......the herold 18 JUL, 2019 - 00:07 Golden Sibanda Senior Business Reporter LONDON-listed Paynet Zimbabwe’s parent firm Cambria Africa Plc, has accused banks of working in collusion and as a “cartel” to take a unified position of refusing to pay for service fees in US dollars when in fact they had different contracts and should have performed individually. Cambria Africa chief executive officer (CEO) Samir Shasha, said yesterday that despite the banks having signed individual contracts, they decided to act collectively through their association to refuse to pay in US dollars, resulting in Cont...

Great RNS. History tells us CMB will take legal action against anyone who tries to take the company for a mug. :-)

Interesting move by the banks??? Market cap of CMB is now approx £4m. Banks could have taken out the company for say £6m. Saves all the hasssle of annoying customers etc. Obviously Zim banks don't care about their customer relationships or wasting energy re-inventing the wheel If that is their attitude I'm glad I don't live in Zim and have to use them

I sold out too after the results. Shame. Like the ceo ....but the mkt was not going to like the uncertainty. Broken below support and will drift down on small selling imo. Def one to watch but not hold in size imo

Well done for covering/minimising any loss here - wondered who had been selling down recently, now I know! :-) As you say, it is a shame indeed, as a genuine company that is unappreciated... Good luck with wherever you have put the proceeds - I have been enjoying recent success at BIDS and DISH - top sliced already so safe and sound with the remaining that I have left running..and prepared to let run. It is a difficult market at the moment, generally speaking, it would seem. DL

DL/Ten I was getting hammered everywhere else and then did a lot of google searches on Zimbabwe and nothing positive was coming back so I took the hit thinking I cannot take another bashing, for once my research was correct. As you say it's a shame because the company is a good one. Just shows you must always sell the spikes in this one.

Yowch! This was seen coming I suppose (certainly with hindsight)… I am glad that it has been dealt with so decisively and, relatively speaking, early on, but it is a real shame that it has had come to this position. I hope we see some form of resolution at the earliest opportunity, for all concerned ( not including the banks that is). Doesn't this include government staff payroll? DL

In a very difficult financial environment CMB once again delivers outstanding results....shares priced at less than profits, let alone assets! (Whilst recognising the Z factor)..And a company with a genuine board looking after shareholders...very rare on AIM. Great stuff. DL

Morning Dave, It will take many years for Zimbabwe to find stability and recover, IMO. A long term hold with a few ups & downs along the way !. Regards.

But if that country is on the mend then imagine what CMB could do when it sits on a PER of 3 or less atm. It could go from zero to hero. I'm only holding a million atm. I saw only it's £10k's worth which is a decent amount. Still expect results each morning, they are keeping us waiting.

Hi dave, I always work on the saying, 'do not risk what you can not aford to loose'. As I hold c1.5m shares already and with them still sat in the red, for me, other than the odd £100 top-up i could not risk bigger money to buy more. I am still confident of the future and the appointment of the new board members looks like a company aiming high !. Getting into the brick market also looks a smart move. But this is Zimbabwe and there will be lots of hurdles to come !. Best Wishes.
