No it will take a good few years with this one considering the encomoic climate, but I believe that it will creep up and time goes by. I spoke with Steve yesterday and I am more than happy to hold.

Patience that's all, have learned recently that you will make good
money if you adopt that simple procedure.

I can see Cagney is a quiet stock, lets see where it is in a few months
but you are right the company seems to be on the mend but the price does
not reflect it as of yet.

Stocked is pretty bombed out at 0.45p bid, new management seem to be turning things around gradually, priced still for failure, positive AGM report today so could be a turnaround play although still lots to do.

8ball - MMs won't give too much of a sh1t about this share on a day to day basis as there is not enough liquidity to make any money out of it. Hence the wide spread.

Wins are predominantly a bidding market maker !

If they sit on the offer it's rare and most certainly means
they have a sell order, apart from that they nearly always
sit and push stocks on the bid when buys come through.

Maybe time to move on, looks like new management are slowly
turning things around, the bad past maybe behind them now.

Best price now is 150k online at 0.68p.

I agree the spread is not great at 0.49-0.68p and there's some
stale mm's who need waking up at 0.75p offer (3 of them), Wins
as normal doing the bidding and the only mm moving, once the
surplus stock dries up then it might get more exciting.

The price is saying failure, the company is on the up but slowly so
that means the price has got a lot of upside.

I'm really pleased i got that cheap stock now, looks a nice recovery
play in the making, i bought TSW when it was bombed out and nobody
liked it at 12p, it's now 37p bid !

Oh yeah, I can see big dividends from here. Remember, this is a share for penny traders. Hence 8ball telling us how he topped up his 100k holding, with another 50k purchased out of trading profits. 50k = £250. Says it all.....

If this thing was any good it would attract decent investors with quality history of investing. I only bought in here to help out a friend, and got out when I could.

In the Annual Report released at the end of April we confirmed that the Group had made a profitable start to the year, and we are pleased to report that the Group continues to trade profitably.




At the interim stage last year we reported an operating profit of £234,000 on gross profit of £4.4m, but noted that this result had been boosted by some significant one-off revenues. Accordingly, we are expecting operating profit for the first half of 2009 to be lower than the corresponding figure for 2008.




We are anticipating that our solid start will enable us to report an improved operating performance for the full year.

Another 50k for me with trading profits elsewhere, they offer 0.55p
when it's small amounts like 50k, 0.65p for bigger, must be a lot
of burnt fingers here and a bad reputation to overcome but i liked
this paragraph from final results.

"In the first quarter of 2009 Cagney is trading profitably, and we continue to
feel cautiously optimistic about new business prospects. We have a healthy
pipeline and our bank is supportive of this management team's progress and
vision for the future"
