Carwhite - if you say you are whom you claim - here are two questions regarding the AUM:

1 - Was Paul Simons there and if so, where abouts was he sitting?
2 - Where were you sitting?

Carwhite - a strange post to say the least, number 1419!

I wouldn't be sick to see this company succeed, I would be very happy for their long suffering shareholders (or any newer ones for that matter), even if I was not a beneficiary myself.

I didn't see anybody bickering, but I do not share your optimism for the future of this company and would not recommend it as an investment to anybody based on what I have seen so far, but I remain hopeful (yet realistically unconvinced) that the company can prove otherwise in the future.

johnswan....agree with what you have posted there...hard to know how good/bad Cagney are doing because, as usual, there is no information coming from them...I still find it strange that a PR Company is so appalling with PR with it's shareholders!

Granny7 - I remember the Coulson post well. Haven't seen him since though so I expect he never made it through "such trying times".

I have lost faith in this company since the mess they got into under the management of Paul Simons. I agree that Steve appears to be better, although what he has inherited looked a financial nightmare and may prove to be mission impossible.

I don't know how Steve is doing and I have only the share price and value of my investment to judge his performance on and so far that remains unproven. I do not hold Steve responsible for what happened at Cagney before he became the CEO, particlarly as Tree was the only significantly profitable part of the company - although it was not something Cagney shareholders benefitted from, only the founders of Tree as far as I could tell, whom managed to get a lot of cheap Cagney shares in lieu of performance payments they were due.

I remember david-coulson with similar posts last year!!

"Yesterday was interesting I took advantage of the kind offer, open to all shareholders, to visit Cagney PLC. at Holden House. 57 Rathbone Place. London. W1T 1JU.

With respect to all fellow shareholders, may I suggest that you all consider doing the same. Although there is a strict silence on information that is not in the public domain, it is quite easy to see that the company is thieving. T
he enthusiasm of the staff is as invigorating as their smart office and personal appearance.

It no wonder to me that this little company is hot of the tails of the bigger fish in the media industry.

Most of the staff are shareholders and greeted me with a shared enthusiasm for the what they termed "our" company.

I left after a nice lunch feeling this is one of my better secure investments in such trying times."
