Is this the only share where all positive news is always treated with such a negative reaction. Why is this??A simple question to be asked on the webinar session maybe.

Where did you get that number from cyber, £30.72m in the fundamental data ? If you can shed any more light on your tip if you are able to ? Way out of line with our investments and hazelst thinks we are massively undervalued and I agree with him.

riskvsreward: absolutely and it is the other way around as you say. It's likely to get worse as they will need to shore up their investments by issuing more shares in order to maintain and/or increase their various stakes. BCN is a case in point. They will also want to show that they are developing the business by buying stakes in other companies. They are in a pretty difficult place as the possibility of liquidating an investment for a decent profit is going to be challenging since all the projects are at at a developmental stage if I'm correct.I've been following this company for years and had a sizeable investment once and am very happy to be on the sidelines watching at present. One thing I certain of is that sentiment may take the price up but it's unlikely to be sustainable unless they can put some meat on the bone.

rossowheels,

Agree with what you are saying except for the share price is in discount to its NAV. Read the balance sheet, which is "mark to market", ie. using the market share prices of the investee companies like bcn etc to value the net value of its shareholdings, its NAV is only 0.25 pence, much lower than its share price of 0.4 p.

Look at the 2016 total equity in the balance sheet of £24.5m copied below, including intangible asset if any.

KDNC is basically like an investment trust company with much higher share concentration, there for higher risk. The norm of IT share is that they mostly trade at a healthy discount, especially for high risk ones. So it is hard to see why kdnc is good value when it is at a heavy premium.

What is the added value the BOD bring to the table? It's a bit like you guys giving me a few quid to buy some shares in other companies. That's fine if I am able to turn your few quid into a few thousand. The reality is that the few quid you gave me is now worth less and I'm paying myself a nice salary. It's a win win for me but a lose lose for you. If I can keep this up I can keep the show going. If I can't, then I have to sell the shares I bought with your few quid so that I can maintain my lifestyle. Now, let's look at where your few quid has gone. Primarily, BCN which has just issued a substantial amount of shares so your investment has gone down in % terms. There is European Metals and MacArthur Minerals whose share prices rose when the investments were made and are now going down. The only reason those shares rose is because of my interest in them which is fine unless I am a forced seller in which case it will be hard to find a buyer willing to pay a decent price. This explains why the price of Cadence is at a discount to the current market value of its investments. The same applies to all the investments.
