Our large holder here has another minnow biotech firm ETX where he has a significant stake and he is supporting their recent announcement to delist from AIM , although the carrot is put down that they aspire to a nasdaq listing in the future. Their market cap is now 70m.

We would have a mile to go to get our cap up to the required levels but it shows these investors are a least aware of wider options to pursue etc etc.. dyor

If you read the meeting notes from the firm, they say that there will be a definite dealing facility for 12 months and no guarantee afterwards. The attitude to small investors is next to appalling - why did they ever try to run this as a public company in the first place.

I sincerely hope within that period someone else who can provide longer term funds and a business straetegy to turn this into a long term profitable business model steps in...I suspect our largest holder is a clever business man and he has some sort of plan in his head about where to take this business....fingers crossed as they say...

The issue in holding these shares in the SIPP is at valuation points when you vest the SIPP as the provider needs to validate portfolio value for tax reasons as the PDF confirms - while we have the matched bargain facility there is a daily trail of dealt prices. After that it may get messy....so 12 months is my likely time horizon here one way or the other...

dyor and no advice intended etc

DM3, spot on article - and it reminds me the extra challenges we have being such a niche part of the biotech space which again makes it harder for new investors to resonate with us compared to say drugs for weight loss etc.

Duty on the firm to be bold and broaden their networks with senior industry players and market their message around.

A serious seller dumping atm- is this one of the larger holders...we simply do not know and wait on a large holdings note if this applies.

There does not seem to me to be much valuation interest in companies who fail to have assets in phases 1-3 etc. I am happy to be corrected but big pharma seem to want ready to go products in the main and will pay up.

Clearly we do have AZ in background development mode with our product but this is not whetting investor appetite atm.

perhaps we simply need a fresh set of long term investors from the US who have a good grasp of Biotech valuations and can provide more liquidity, this may work via a US listing. Seems to have done the trick for my other biotech holding which also has our large holder here as a major investor so he would understand the process perhaps.
Perhaps something that can be raised at the next AGM?

In case anyone missed it, the INDIVIOR update on Phase 1 SAD of Orexin 1 Inhibitor INDV 2000) was published Feb 16 in the Q4 21 results. The report says Phase 1 MAD is on clinical hold at the instruction of the FDA based on "nonclinical findings from another similar development programme not sponsored by Indivior". However, "major progress" made on formulation and chemical development

Savvy investors will start picking up cheap stock now - whoever "managed" this sale over the last week or so doesnt have a clue. They have smashed a share price and set the rumour mill going again.

Good solid results and plenty of little nuggets in there to keep investors interested but not the biggy I was personally expecting. Interesting to see they have made plans to conserve cash in the event that trials are extended, etc and they wont need to raise any more funds. I think C4XD is on the verge of becoming self-funding which is a massive step forward and should remove the previously constant threat of a fund raising.

Interesting to see this element of the announcement about the previous fund raising:-

Successful £15.0 million fundraise (before expenses) with a total of 107,142,858 Placing Shares and 99,169,286 Warrants issued to new and existing shareholders

I believe the warrant strike price is 29p so if ever they needed additional funding these warrants could be exercised by, I would guess, mostly institutional shareholders - circa £30m. Dilutive but a useful drop back to have if they ever needed cash for any reason.

All in all, steady as she goes I think and we await further developments within some of the very interesting historic and new areas mentioned.

Of course they can but do you often buy shares only traded on foreign markets? Do you think US investors are even aware that C4XD exists?
