28/1/2021 11:06 | Agree nothing is priced in. Quite so, and that is why the rise will indeed be spectacular.Imo, it'll make no difference if the news is 'bad' tho. Panic will still result in a massive short term 'oversold' effect. That's what the shorts will be hoping to make money from. | dontay
28/1/2021 11:04 | GameStop may initially have been about taking advantage of an over leveraged short position to make money but has since moved into the realms of anti establishment iconoclasm. The most amusing thing has been the bleating of members of that establishment when they are on the receiving end of a system that they created. But for those seeking to make money from the situation they had better be fleet of foot because it is likely to come crashing down very quickly with no market to sell into. When that will be, who knows? I thought that yesterday probably marked the top but I note that it is up 40% in pre-trading. | jc2706
28/1/2021 10:55 | Personally I don't think anything is priced in for Eskom tenders. BMN haven't even announced they have bidded. The current price is still below NBV and the recent rise in the Vanadium price hasn't been priced in along with increasing production. If we win the tender we will re-rate to 50p very quickly IMO. | gah123
28/1/2021 10:45 | BMN has to seen as a good bet for a short play for those who like a gamble. If BMN don't happen to get anything out of the tenders (and there is no guarantee whatsoever ever that they will) it would not only put back the plan for having a local battery assembly facility, but could also put back the plan for handing over the ELZ land to the contractors next month! On bad news like that, there would be rush for the exits, it would get well oversold in the near term and the share price would nose dive. It'd eventually recover to somewhere around the current level again, simply because the rising V price effect would kick in. But the next month could go either way. If they get what they want then the twin effects of contracts won and a rising V price should prove to be equally spectacular!Bet on the red, or bet on the black? | dontay
28/1/2021 10:30 | Now’s the time to short GameStop if that floats your boat. Despite the attack on shorters by the Reddit platform the business is still effectively dead like many of the others they are chasing. The inflated share price is built on sand. Like always it will be the late to the party small investors that will lose out. The major shorters will close their losing positions and reopen them at an even higher inflated share price to make more because the business itself is still a dead duck. | nvhltd
28/1/2021 10:22 | This is and always has been about the Vanadium price (external factors) and BMN management (failing to deliver). They have one more role of the dice with the ESKOM tenders before this falls into the long term hype story. When all the rampers jump up and down on the news of a single sale of a VRFB in Australia or they can list a dozen trials and projects around the world, but mainly in China after all these year and when the Vanadium price has been on the floor for 2 years then you have to start wondering where it’s all gone so badly wrong. | nvhltd
28/1/2021 10:12 | Dear on dear when will they learn :) | capablanca64
28/1/2021 09:32 | We must have a tame seller or we’re being shorted. Let’s do a ‘Reddit’ and burn those nasty pasty shorters. | nvhltd
28/1/2021 09:26 | And what is the monetary value to BMN / BE of those 2 projects, bearing in mind we can’t produce electrolyte and could sell the Vanadium to the steel market? The VRFB in Australia is 8MWh. A bit far fetched to claim it’s the worlds biggest VRFB. | nvhltd
28/1/2021 09:19 | Déjà vu on the price action. Identical to yesterday and very reminiscent of times when we have had large sellers active. | jc2706

27/1/2021 20:38 | THLTL are you a glass-half-full character..... Brace yourself for a dismal trading update with a litany of excuses as to why production targets were not met and key milestones were missed in the VFRB space. | capablanca64
27/1/2021 20:15 | By my reckoning results are due anytime now has anyone any thoughts on what the will show? I'm assuming they will show quite a loss this year without running the numbers as things seem to have worsened since a year ago I'm terms of the V price (or certainly my the average V price across the preceding 12 months anyhow). It's hard to say how that will impact on the share price though. I would hazard a guess that a loss would be far less of a shock this year than it was last year where what seemed like the bulk of the investor base was expecting a profit still and if my memory is correct we finished marginally up on results day last year around. That being said lots of investors get caught up in the speel they put up top to distract us from the real numbers. The V Price has recovered and the share price following its fall back seems closer to the value attrition you would expect following the price of a commodity lifting marginally above the business's breakeven point so I'm tempted to predict a small gain once the bad news is out of the way. What's everyone elses thoughts? | truthhurtslessthan losses
