22/12/2020 17:19 | Amazing how situations turn around. No RNS but a phenomenal rise nevertheless. It looks like the board is attracting more attention as well - good to have new people investing and contributing. Ending close to the highs suggests strength in the morning and the push back to the pre-pandemic levels on very strong volume. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned back for a while at that point (or earlier to back test the breakout) but the upwards direction seems clear. | ![]() jc2706
22/12/2020 17:14 | Another good post on the lse bb:Mogwhy, 16/12/2020 Just in case anyone doubts the extra requirement for vanadium over the next couple of years, here is a list of planned major VRFB projects. Add in all the smaller Invinity type projects as well and you can probably double it.Major planned VRFB projects (4.5 tonnes of V per MWh)1,000 MWh------- China - Jiangsu TianWan nuclear station (4,500 tonnes)1,000 MWh------- China - Jiangsu offshore wind integration (4,500 tonnes)---800 MWh------ China - Shijiazhuang (3,600 tonnes)---400 MWh------ China - Dalian (Rongke/UET) stage 2 (1,800 tonnes)---320 MWh------ Eskom BESS phase 2 (1,440 tonnes max)---500 MWh------ China - Hubei Zaoyang Ph 2 (VRB Energy) (2,250 tonnes)---400 MWh------ China - Yancheng (Shanghai Electric Group) (1,800 tonnes)---400 MWh------ China - Wuhan (1,800 tonnes)---166 MWh------ Eskom BESS phase 1 package 2 (747 tonnes max)---160 MWh------ Eskom BESS phase 1 package 1 (720 tonnes max)---300 MWh------ Australia - Pangea, Port Augusta (CellCube) (1,350 tonnes)---180 MWh------Bushveld Minerals self generation project (810 tonnes)-----82 MWh------ Eskom BESS phase 1 package 3 (369 tonnes max)-----51 MWh------Japan - Abira Town Hokkaido (Sumitomo Elec) (230 tonnes)-----40 MWh------ China - Wafangdian Zhenhai Wind Farm (180 tonnes)One off total of 29,096 tonnes of vanadium requiredGlobal vanadium production in 2019 - 111,225 tonnes-------------- | ![]() parob
22/12/2020 17:10 | Only 9 days before Fortune reveals that he has secretly installed 1,000MWh of VRFB’s, plus the new electrolyte plant must be up and running, plus ESKOM. Wake me up when we move past 48p. | ![]() nvhltd
22/12/2020 14:22 | Today is just the start of the re-rate IMO. Potential Eskom news is not that far away, Vanadium prices are rising at an accelerating pace, money is flowing into the sustainable/green sector (look at #PHE and #EQT for example!), VRFB for energy storage is taking off. Really have the perfect storm developing here. | ![]() parob
22/12/2020 13:10 | Huge demand for shares in the vanadium battery sector. From IES RNS this morning:"The Company received valid applications from Qualifying Shareholders in respect of 2,195,477 Open Offer Shares representing an oversubscription of approximately 92.4 per cent. over the available 1,141,325 Open Offer Shares."BMN own 7.15% of IES | ![]() parob
22/12/2020 12:18 | BMN - a couple of excellent websites - do check out both Energy and Minerals. hxxp://www.bushvelde hxxp://www.bushveldm This one, a long way to run I reckon. f | ![]() fillipe
22/12/2020 12:13 | whats the news here? i have BMN and FAR in my watchlist for vanadium, didnt expect to rise so rapidly well done those in | ![]() nash81

22/12/2020 12:07 | shieldbug....the servitization of battery storage where BMN lease the units is really exciting. Reduces the barriers to entry to huge numbers of markets as the capital expenditure/debt would create problems. I love the ownership of the whole vertical value chain. | ![]() purchaseatthetop
22/12/2020 12:00 | My 40-50p target for end of Jan looking good. Can't think of a better investment right now. | ![]() gah123
22/12/2020 11:56 | Plat - The whole point of BMN getting involved in energy storage is because flow batteries will simply not become mainstream without a stable supply of vanadium (one third of the cost of a flow battery). They are incubating the technology so that long term there will be a new market for vanadium. Once the flow battery manufacturers are established and rental of vanadium is part of the business model I am sure they will spin it off. But doing so now makes absolutely no sense. If you don't understand this it is a good thing that you are not invested but there is no reason why you shouldn't trade the stock as much as you like. | ![]() shieldbug

22/12/2020 11:49 | Parob....that Lionel BP series of posts is aces. Really good for a bit of helicopter vision for newbies (of whom I am one). However, I am a newbie heavily in the blue now so I am a lucky newbie! Thanks all for your input. | ![]() purchaseatthetop
22/12/2020 11:44 | Indeed Parob. Why I bought in this morning - and it's a great company of course! | ![]() walter walcarpets
22/12/2020 11:08 | "So many potential investors just see Bushveld as a mining company, and don't even realise it's in the battery energy/sustainable space. Hopefully that will change soon."I'm one Parob, it's why I've only been trading it, have kept my gains in to run a few times but not atm. I just don't understand the battery side of it enough, I'm much more comfortable with ounces pounds and tonnes.Hence my calls for fortune to ring-fence the mining and spin the batteries off as a different company. | ![]() plat hunter
22/12/2020 11:03 | Well done guys.12.5p is out the window for now I guess. I'm sitting this one out until 17p is out of the way, will be interesting to see what happens with Orion. | ![]() plat hunter
22/12/2020 11:00 | And with expected growth like this why wouldn't you hold for years.Yahoo Finance. "Amid the COVID-19 crisis, the global market for Vanadium Redox Battery estimated at US$234.9M in the year 2020, is projected to reach a revised size of US$4.8 Billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 54% over the analysis period 2020-27" hTTps://tinyurl.com/ | ![]() parob

22/12/2020 10:07 | Great to see this bouncing back although the chat is quieter than I expected.... perhaps it's BMN holders rushing down to Iceland to get their frozen turkeys - anything's got to be better than bread and dripping. Congrats on recovering some of the 2020 losses.Have a great Christmas one and all | ![]() capablanca64
