18/4/2018 08:04 | Big day for short term price determination today: | dmitribollokov
17/4/2018 21:38 | Fair enough. The gigafactory and the happy clappiness of musk followers might mean that the best solution won’t win though. More pertinent to BMN though, vrfb’s seem to be currently peerless in their ability to deal with the charge/distribution problem of uneven power sources such as solar. BMN are based in south africa; where sun is abundant and other forms of power are not reliable and most worryingly for them the grid provided by eskom is a shambles... | dmitribollokov
17/4/2018 21:09 | I wasn't suggesting otherwise and eventually Sodium/Magnesium may displace Lithium in the consumer electronics and EV space. Next up though is the 'solid electrolyte' development, to over come Lithium's inherent fire risk. That at a stroke would greatly simplify the current complex cathode designs and materials... | katylied
17/4/2018 20:58 | Katy - Actually think there’s room for both. Vrfb for static power storage (ie for civil stuff), lithium for mobile (ie autos). Vanadium more likely to be winner than lithium though as there are more viable alternative solutions for auto power, think that’s where the vhs/betamax argument lies. Although, given that elon musk has stuck his flag in the lithium camp, i wouldn’t discount it’s chance of success vs. hydrogen fuel cells say. | dmitribollokov
17/4/2018 20:33 | Sean yes, a bit loose of me. I sold my ATM shares, but many others haven’t - So that’s what i mean by a sideshow! | dmitribollokov
17/4/2018 20:32 | Actualy Tin may have an important role to play in future improved Lithium (or Sodium, or Magnesium) battery anodes. Always a lot of talk about improved cathodes and the demand for cobalt etc, but work is also being done on anodes. One development, known by the catchy name 'Interdigitated Eutectic Alloy' (IdEA), is a metal alloy foil (Tin is key) that is said to double the storage capacity, yet be lighter and much easier to make than the typical copper backed graphite anodes used today. Still, I guess battery 'break throughs' are 10 a penny these days, they won't all get to market... | katylied
17/4/2018 20:26 | What? The tin is history.Didn't you get the memo? | seanywauny
17/4/2018 19:36 | The whole point of this is power. Vanadium isn’t catching a massive bid because of it’s steel strengthening properties... BMN has the vertical to mine the stuff and then through strategic partnerships with UET and the IDC to produce electrolyte and provide batteries, that is fortune’s mission. The coal and tin are, albeit nice, sideshows... | dmitribollokov
17/4/2018 19:18 | John Meyer of share price Angel suggested some such, but I'm not clear as to how he joined up those particular dots. Currently the 'tech' side of VRFB is via the MOU with UET. Producing electrolyte might qualify I suppose (an electro-chem process maybe?), but it still seems a bit of a stretch. Fortunately, there is still plenty of BMN upside, without BMN needing to be re-invented yet, as a BE 'tech' play... | katylied
17/4/2018 19:09 | Vanadium all well and good but what is even more exciting is BMN emerging as a new power technology play | luffness
17/4/2018 17:36 | where is wolfie in the dodo, I would quite like a chat. This share is crashing 2p 2p hahaha | knuttie
17/4/2018 15:25 | This should still really be multiples of this level | dmitribollokov
16/4/2018 11:44 | Yes BMN does look to be quality. | gsg
16/4/2018 08:59 | Fair play GSG, thanks. This is a great company. JLP may come good, but CB and LC need to get their act together, i spent years waiting there. | dmitribollokov
16/4/2018 08:50 | dmitri. Respect on calling this. I'm still waiting for Godot at JLP | gsg
11/4/2018 22:05 | In bond world 600m is 600k, but whatever seems like mickey mouse is confused... | dmitribollokov
11/4/2018 21:24 | LuckyMouse - there's 670,000 in treasury, not 600m. | mogwhy
11/4/2018 16:27 | Thanks Lucky | jp1962
11/4/2018 15:46 | Please explain Mouse | jp1962
11/4/2018 10:42 | What a dead thread! | jp1962 |
