yump..with cash over half mkt cap its a massive factor..results were great but the mix was disappointing(hardware /software)...shares are valued correctly(could rally 2-3p) but with mr.gerrard holding large pct much will depend on his game plan.i am a happy holder and am pleased with progress, but am not expecting any fireworks.

Left out the cash so that I can be surprised on the upside ;-)

imo because IBG has actually got profits now and forecasts, then the p/e is relevant. 120% growth from just above break even is not something where p/e is relevant, because it will be falsely high, but I think growing from 300,000 profit to 800,000 profit for a small turnover company does bring p/e into importance, because it highlights the risks. Spend 300,000 in expenses that isn't expected next year and suddenly it would look expensive.

fwiw I think this year will see a fairly stunning revenue increase for the networks (the good ones), this year looks like a watershed year in terms of broadband and shop quality encouraging people to buy online.

Latifs100,

I wouldn't be so sure they're all sells!

Results are just what I was expecting and on that basis, around £1M ptp for full year and £9.5-£10M cash leaves this a very undervalued business, in my view.

Holding since 8p and continuing to hold till nearer 40p, thanks.

On forward growth I'd buy IBG Yump.

BTW IBG is has only just materialised as a profit making company so we can't put to much weight on P/E's here. Just look at the future growth though. America seems to be working out really well. Another update to be issued within the next 6 months imo.

No way is IBG cheaper at the moment - thats ridiculous.
300,000 profit this year gives a p/e around 50.

BSG at 1p eps (pessimistic given its already done 0.62p) gives a p/e of less than 20.

Ah but yes we must look to the future...

IBG say 800,000 next year, so p/e on next year is around 18, assuming massive growth continues. ie. around 120% growth.

BSG at 1.5p next year (assuming 50% growth) gives p/e of about 12.

What's more relevant is whether BSG is as 'trendy' as IBG, which it isn't.
Can you add some extra p/e for that ?

If you were a billionaire, which company looks cheap to buy ?

Thanks WJCC, CGR are already on my watch list. I guess BSG aren't likely to do much in the short term unless they do something with the cashpile.

Liars, can't really compare IBG with BSG. Totally different company. More exciting, higher risk though.

These are the old broker notes followed by the updates - very nice reading.

Sorry for off-topic but I know that CR holds so hopefully he won't mind. ;-)

CGR on a PE of about 10-11 and that's without stripping out their cashpile.

IBG for one. American growth seems to have kicked in, adding US merchants way faster than adding UK merchants AND.....profits have started to flow to the bottomline. ( All info on appropriate thread ).

Results didn't seem particularly compelling to me. There are cheaper companies in this sector.

A bit mixed, but if they only make eps of 1p for the year then the pe ratio is only about 8 after you strip out the cash. Can't see much downside. No mention of using the cash for further acquisitions. Look like a steady bet though.

from results;

"Trading update

The Board is confident that the market for managed services will continue to
grow, and that with its unique position in that market, BSG will continue to
grow contracted revenues at strong margins. Following the acquisition of GNS'
Unix business, the Group has a wider technical skill set and can offer services
across a broader range of operating platforms. A strong first quarter supports
the Board's view that smaller and mid sized customers are increasingly looking
to outsource many of their more routine technology processes. By providing this
type of service, BSG is able to demonstrate competence in its initial delivery
to these new customers and is able to gain their trust. This allows BSG to
develop a more sophisticated relationship with these new customers."

Am expecting good HY results in around 13 days, which should show strong cash generation and a return to positive share price movement.

We'll see!!

Good luck all holders
