TIDMBRST RNS Number : 9748L Burst Media Corporation 21 January 2009 21 January 2009 Burst Media Corporation ("Burst" or the "Company") Non-Executive Board Appointment Burst, the international online advertising services company, is pleased to announce the appointment of James (Jim) Garrity to the Board as a non-executive director with immediate effect. The Company is intending to appoint one further non-executive director to the Board. James John Garrity, 62, has 39 years of experience in sales, marketing and communications roles, and during his career has worked for three Fortune 50 companies. He began his professional career at IBM, where he spent 13 years in sales-related roles and 11 years in marketing and advertising leadership positions, culminating in his appointment as Director of Advertising, IBM USA. Mr Garrity subsequently worked for five years at Compaq, where he was Vice President of Communications and was intimately involved in repositioning the Compaq brand from a business-to-business only brand to one with strong consumer recognition. Following Compaq, Mr Garrity worked for Wachovia, where he led the development of the brand nationally. He was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Wachovia from 1997 until his retirement in 2007. Mr Garrity was a board member of the Association of National Advertisers ("ANA") from 1995 until 2007, becoming Chairman in 1998. Between 1995 and 2007, he chaired the ANA's New Technologies Committee. Mr Garrity was also a board member of the AdCouncil from 1996 until 2007. Mr Garrity has been a director of Bellwether Digital Bridge LLC, a marketing consulting business which he co-founded, since December 2008. There are no additional disclosure requirements to be made by Mr Garrity in relation to paragraph (g) of Schedule Two of the AIM Rules.
