I have no trouble watching BT Sport on SKY, or on my Android mobile. My interests are rugby and cricket, so the round ball stuff does not concern me.

Cancelled my BT Sports subscription yesterday. Not worth the money for me. And trying to watch it on my ipad was a waste of time. Constant problem with the password. A friend has told me he's starting to get the same problem.

Had it on the main TV not just an ipad.

Apparently Sky couldn't bid for the PL package that BT won anyway. If GP is ever thinking of another career then maybe modelling would be preferable to playing poker.

Perhaps GP is tempted to buy...or is he waiting for lower lows ?

Patterson, 50, is also battling to rein in a £14billion pensions black hole, while shares are at a six-year low.

Under his leadership, BT has aggressively bolstered its television service by snapping up rights to show football, rugby, cricket and other major sports.

But despite massive investment it revealed this month that 5,000 customers had left in the last three months of 2017.

Yesterday it insisted it had 'remained financially disciplined' in the Premier League rights auction, paying £885million for 32 matches per season – £9.2million per game.

BT said yesterday: 'BT has remained financially disciplined during this process and remains in a strong position to make a return on this investment through subscription, wholesale, commercial and advertising revenues, especially following the acquisition of EE, which more than doubled BT's customer base.'

Fair enough point. But you need to cast your mind back to the previous auction where there was an increase of 70% for the rights. Sky were the cause of this as they weren’t sure how deep BT”s pockets were. Sky paid substantially more than BT per match. This time round Sky new BT were in a comparatively weak position.

Sky completely outsmarted BT on the PL rights, paying 16% less per match against BT's 20% more per match. Who was the pea-brain that agreed to that?
