Read an article that said stocks that brokers recommended to Sell last year significantly outperformed those that were Buy or Hold.

Trump speech tonight could end the 12th straight record gain on the Dow. He better say the right things tonight. Otherwise down we go in the morning.

No, its just Ofcom have come to their senses, Sharon White is on a mission with BT.
She tells them what to charge. She is under pressure I would imagine from the others to do something about Openreach.
Trading range for BT 297p low to 335p high, so around 318p about right.
What worries me is Ofcom, Italy do we know full extent, Pension liability how big now.
the profit warning, they normally come in three's, who the next chairman is, how much the football rights going to cost in the future. The positive dividend ok.

Trump speaks tonight in Congress, Wall Street holding its breath, 12 straight days of gains record highs for the Dow.
That as not happened since 1987 and we all know what happened then stockmarket crash. Lets hope he says the right things tonight.

This may be too obvious....Infrastructure requires investment and maintenance which is recovered through usage fees.Mobile internet also uses most of the same infrastructure as broadband and landlines to transmit between masts. Fees have to be charged for usage of services whatever form that might take.

Get rid of fix telephone line rental, if you just have internet. A lot of consumers just use mobile.

Offcom are a bunch of overpaid idiots trying to justify their unwarranted existence.
Without them we'd all have had fibre to the house years ago if bt had been allowed to install it on the grounds it didn't have to share its own investment with others!
Maybe, charges wouldn't have gone up if bt wasn't been financially drained by offcom!

Ofcom should split Openreach, but I think it's roughly 2/3 thirds of BT profits.

If Ofcom to be believed they must be operating as a CARTEL

"Around 2.3 million people who buy only a landline telephone service from BT would see their monthly bills cut. The regulator said these customers "are often elderly or vulnerable" and are "unlikely to switch". Almost 80% of the UK's 2.9m landline-only customers are with BT. Ofcom said it has found that BT's market power has allowed it to increase prices without much risk of losing customers. Other providers have then followed BT's pricing lead, it said.

"We expect that our proposed cut in BT's prices would lead to other providers following suit and reducing theirs. This would mean savings for landline-only customers across the market," said Ofcom."

BT to be blamed for other raising their prices
BT to be blamed for "elderly and vulnerable" unlikely to switch.

Get BT to cut its price and other will follow suit Wishful thinking on Ofcom part
