Amazing isn't it. Actually facinating, the range of emotions a pop of air can cause, wholly dictated by the source

Yield surely is the answer? Big cut coming this year

If its not the reason, it must be something truly shocking

An share price in decline since 2015. Nearly a decade now.

Institutions piling over each other to loan stock out which really only stated this year ? Why after 9 years of falls?

Near record lows, bringing record shorting all of a sudden?

Something is known..No idea what lol

2.74% is massive. If there was sudden good news, there would be no sellers at all. They would get minced holding that much

They know something...

Tbe only good news here for retail holders, would be to see this period show up large short reductions whilst above 102s. It's not happening. They have no fear of market re institutional support

I'm sure they can gauge it well, having the full details of the loan market for shares, re how many are willing to loan and how much etc

Problem here is that 58% of the ownership structure is a crowded trade

Because its in the 100, there are many many institutional holders, if you also class etf fund managers as said

That's a big problem because once one decides to get out, it pressures the others to follow.

Even a rumour of a yield cut would catch holders out as they can't justify holding via yearly incomre beating a benchmark...and then capital value slaughtered at same time as well

Very hard to see all those under 3% not quietly offloading

Bigger holders re on radar, can't cause a tsunami by having to declare a first initial sell tranche.. they have to find other ways to cover.

Loaning stock to shorters at a premium is one method
