Helped by the UKX mini rebound.

In terms of a crash, £5 down to £2.76 is crashy!.

Never thought of Plusnet as assumed it would just be the BT rate.

Bulls desperate to hold at pivotal support level of 282p, I see 276p if broken.

RoseJS2 - just to remind you that BT are not the only telcomms company involved in TV. Deutsche Telekom are going to be producing their own content. In terms of Premier League rights there will be a number of packages that can be bid for which include UK and International rights. So the likes of Amazon will have to decide what would be the most appropriate package to bid for, a UK only streaming package would not make sense? Certainly be more choice over the coming years.

It's actually a little more than £15/ month saving as the plusnet deal includes line rental. The big saving is line rental. So I'm paying £1 a month less for broadband than the best BT could offer plus I'm saving £208/yr line rental (I have had to pay BT a termination fee as my contract hadn't quite expired).

£15 a month you're saving? - is that an altered data allowance..

Seems a very large saving.

Always had my phone and broadband with BT. I was happy to pay a little extra for a quality service (which I've always had). Reluctantly I've just moved to Plusnet, saving something like £15/month! (I did try to haggle by the way!). I do think BT need to review their pricing for existing customers. I may well go back to BT taking up one of their offers for 'new customers', when my Plusnet deal finishes in 18 months time.

This has been highlighted over the last few months.
BT cannot compete with the likes of Amazon, so reinvest some of
the sports acquisition costs in lower broadband prices imv.
Big challenge for SKY as to how they navigate a changing market place.
If Murdoch gains control it puts SKY in a better position to compete.

There are some detailed discussions on future technology re BT
over on the LSE site intermittently. Of late most topics
are Brexit dominated, so don't read there too often.
