It would appear that since the end of 'amateur hour', whilst those pesky amateurs were buying, the share price has advanced a further full percentage point (if not more).

...and what ever became of that bear-trap & all those sharp claws eh?

2.7948 and 2.806 on Friday.

2.82 Thursday.

I thought there may be a bounce with the Stoxx 50 reshuffle from Friday's close.

US telecom or a European Telecom should just buy this outfit out...or a consortium of Telecom companies...

Meanwhile, an "interesting" article from simplywall.st.

"With profit expected to grow by 82.38% over the next couple of years,"

PMSL.

But of course it is true, profit is expected to grow by this amount - surely therefore monty this justifies your extravagant PER of 15.

(Disclaimer - if you don't understand why that is "funny" please do not rely on either the 82% profit growth or the PE of 15, but instead DYOR)

Every reported trade has both a buyer and a seller.

The flags are merely guesses based on the quoted spread at the time of the trade.

The theory is :
(i) Where a Market Maker is involved it is the other party that is the buyer or the seller.
or (ii) Where settled by SETS, whichever party crosses the spread is deemed to be the "active" trader.

eg if the spread is 99-101 that means that the highest price anyone is prepared to buy at is 99p and the lowest price anyone is prepared to sell at is 101p. These "passive" orders are effectively regarded as "the market".
So if a trade goes through at (or near) 99p it means a seller has become active and crossed the spread, so it is "A SELL"
Conversely if a trade goes through at/near 101p a buyer has crossed the spread and it is "A BUY".

A trade at 100 would probably come up as "?" which would probably make sense as effectively both the buyer and the seller have entered the neutral zone.

It makes some kind of sense but I wouldn't personally rely to much on Buy/Sell stats.

BT drop out of the Stoxx 50 index from today's close.
Some recent tracker fund selling as a result.

I still can never work out why the 'buys' and 'sells' don't ever match each other.

If someone buys a share, then someone has sold a share...... so why don't they match up?

It's because there was 4 trades of 14.5m all recorded on the buy side, andy.

They were negotiated trades, so probably a bit of swapping between market makers.
