They have to keep investing as the USO is still in place. They are obliged to provide the network and then the customer can choose any service provider that they want. Talk Talk, Sky etc.

Well said Pacemaker. Same thing applies to the Post Office.

Sky and BT about to carve up football rights again. Absolutely no meaningful effort to control the monopoly supplier Premier League and poor punters paying through the nose to the clubs and Sky plus BT.

Yeh! Talktalk are scum and leeches. No assets to network. They only exist because stupid ofcom think competition actually works. Not when you screw the only company actually investing by allowing the likes of TT to just cream off profits by being just a middleman.

Bit late in the day to be saying GP is not the right man for the job, isn't 'hindsight' a marvellous thing!! The article does mention that GP received over 98% investor backing at the last AGM, so I presume this unnamed Broker was one of the less than 2% who voted against him? GP's, like all CEO's, time will come and I suspect that will be determined by GP himself or the Board and not some unnamed broker.

Why are BT held solely responsible for the network by ofcom?
They are not a nationalised company.
What happens if they decide not to invest any more in future network.
What would ofcom do? Where would the money come from?

Add 10.55p to price 305p, still good for the bulls in this market.

Monty says 'lol if accident and they hit Guam' I don't think 'lol' is appropriate when talking about the potential deaths of people, and the possible horrendous consequences.

It would be a 10% - 15% correction if it happened very swift in the indexes.
