DL have only an 11% increase on EPS for April 2008. Given that BNH are outperforming it seems to me that the 08 forecast of 27.35p is way too low. Put them on a share price of say 300p and add say 30% for an share price of 390p in just over a years time not including the divies. Should they do more then 30% then that's a bonus imo.

I am looking forward to the FY results and the new notes which should follow them. Plenty left yet imo.

Is the market aware these are on a fwd PE of just 9?

Must be set to go to 275p and beyond surely?

I think fair value would be £3 myself.

Admit I'd expect a longer consolidation but I wont stand on ceremony.
Bring it on.

Ticking up again - still look well cheap and the second leg of the breakout usually better than the first after confirmation.

One to hold through 2007 imo. I don't think we'll double from here but more gains are still to come imo ( and a few dividends to boot ).

Only reasonable to consolidate again. Though I suspect that this month, 253p will not be the top that is established. More a chance to buy in the 240's perhaps. Anyone taking profits has to remember how tightly held the shares in fact are.

Looking a bit frothy now - have sold half my holding to take some profits.

Rememebr the Frazer article ' a P/e of 11-12 going forward should appear this year placing a value over 300p on the company.
So while we can't expect that as soon as January, we can see that the 250's is not demanding in the least.

250p offer and there is buying at 250p.
This is what happens with tightly held shares in demand. We will overshoot upside at some stage.

Galloway? pretty quiet and nice hills?
Never been to Galloway except to get the Larne Ferry ( I believe anyway).

- Festivities ..Only one item I dont like the trend of letting off fireworks used to just be Guy Fawkes, now we had them around here on Xmas day this year, they have to be massive expolsives that get the windows shaking. I live by a park and it gets the poor dogs yelping with the huge bangers and exploding rockets. The yobs and neds , gives them change from the vandalism. ( rant over)

Oh look the BNH rocket is starting to flare up again.

Dumfries? Agreed, it's improved considerably with a by-pass (and would with a bigger earthquake)!! Moffat's in a lovely setting, though a smidge twee - it probably hasn't changed much since you holidayed there. We're in Galloway though. We have to touch the forelock to our brothers in the East. It's a well known fact that in our county, gravity pulls from the west to the east, especially where council services are concerned :-(

Could be bad for Edinburgh if the Hogmanay celebrations have to be canned again. Have a good one yourself, and of course, to all other BNH-ers.

SDX - suggested that to our share club soon after its launch, but it wasn't taken. The one I regret missing was PFC - it's a cracker. The share club made good money but got stopped out in May. I was waiting for a couple of pence more fall to get in at 250p. Then it jumped 30p and hasn't looked back.

Spangle, I have in fact included BNH and another favourite SDX and little RIFT mining in my 5 shares in stockchallenge to do well in 2007.

Hogmanay? very quiet. I would have gone to Stirling or even Edinburgh festivities but the weather forecast is dire. Also, the usual problems of getting back from same. We have a 'do' or open house for friends on NYear's Day though

Dumfries eh? used to be a very nice town. I holidayed in Moffat as a child.

BNH agree its not a 'trader's share' which suits most of us really.

Hector - From the graph it looks like it's just done exactly 100% in 2006. So it's maybe asking a lot to get to 460p by next year! But you could though include it in your "5 picks" in the uk stock market challenge as a "banker" to make a fair gain.

I would have said 50% in 2007 from 215 was possible, and 300p is definitely credible, but of course it's started it's next rise a couple of days too soon from the perspective of the competition!

Do you have big Hogmanay plans? Sadly we're too far from civilisation to get the full works without one of us having to drive! We don't even pay enough council tax to feel the (semi-)famous Dumfries earthquake on Tuesday.

Does anyone with TA skills actually trade BNH, based on its characteristic share price movement?

The last few such upswings averaged nearly 30 points per time. The last big one was 40p. There has to be a good bit to come on this leg.

I'm sure a lot of people watch BNH. I know a few, some are not yet investors and of course some are.

Pity we can't place it on the 'stocks to double in 2007' thread. I don't think she could manage that. It's the 2006 similar thread which drew BNH to my attention.

On any other stockpicker's 07 list, I wonder?

Just added 250 shares as I knew I could influence the sp, a rise to 240 was imminent, and so it has been, and so all my BNH shares benefit from my little purchase.
