£400 a point on Dec for igindex, go boy! Joking aside the continuous stream of good to great results coming out of the market for the 1st half 2003, nearly all coupled with CEO statements about 2003 being great and 2004 being potentially better with little sign of softening rates other than marginally in Property but with everyone still able to make fabulous profits as the deductables are raised nonetheless and stupidly on Aviation, beware of anyone writing a large aviation book!!, means that this sector has some way to run yet.
I am also heavily invested in SVB and Amlin, so I am a beleiver, however I am more than that as I know this market very well. dyor imho and all that.

I hear what you say (I'm not into CFDs - don't understand them). What it boils down to in the end is whether the price will fall befor it starts to climb in anticipation of the Interims (23 Sep). The price has been steady for the past several days, we shall have to wait and see. I'm looking for more than 81p!

Azalea, every penny matters! as im looking to trade via CFDs therefore every penny counts alot. My aim is to buy @ 76p sell @ 81p..

A small increase u may say but as its margin trading a substantal amount of profit. Though i understand what your saying, im looking to hold the stock on short term basis.

re the chart - looks like the strong bullish uptrend line from the Oct. low and the persistant bearish downtrend line drawn from the Jan. high have now finally met at an apex - the next move on this stock should decisively determine the ongoing direction.

Azalea, you are sooooo right. qas27 I am looking for 90p plus if sentiment realy gets behind the sector then I am holding for £.10p plus. imho dyor etc!

If you are prepared to get in at 76p and not 78p, then that is quite illogical when you think about it. 78p is only an increase of 2.6% on 76p. Moreover, you may never see the current mid price of 76p again! Only the very lucky catch a share at its relative low. Remember, Eckert and fellow directors bought in a 81p. If the shares are not worth paying 78p, then they are not worth paying 76p either.

Just about ready to move I think. Fantastic results posted by QBE's London based operations, its Lloyds vehicle Limit and its London Market operation all produced Combined Operating Ratios of 96% which are expected to improve by year end!

Big trades like these (in the ? column) usually mark the conclusion of major buy/sell orders that have been spread over a period of days or weeks. It doesn't mean they've been traded today. The lack of price movement confirms this.

I'm looking to buy into this stock as I like the fundamentals. However, there is a symmetrical triangle forming on the charts that could break either way with a big move. I'm going to wait until the market tips its hand, but you'll have to be quick off the mark!
