That's right Carl, it's been nothing more cerebral than creating a few dummy sites...

This is an old tallymen trick. They kept lending, then kept the debt alive by paing a penny just before it was about to be declared bad.

so is the way that you get the 144k by creating a dummy site and then killing it...then repeating a few months down the line...this is what ive been doing but i never get round to killing them! just thought there might be a smarter way

Unused sites are regularly culled from the system, so I do not think you will find anywhere near 100+k sites hosted even your search is perfect

"I have no idea what you two are on about now - gyrating violently, 185??"

In relation to my little comment that the price on the Plus market rose by 18.5% Carl

"why do you see +185 as being significant?"

I don't think it is significant, Norbus, it was just a simple observation that it was 'good to see'. I think it is always good to see a share I hold rise by 18.5%, as opposed to falling by that amount :)

Just looked back and surprisingly, the Plus market price for BGT has been pretty steady recently - most likely due to there being almost no volume...

Interesting to see page views have doubled since January...take it with a pinch of salt but trending in the right direction....

You could find out the server IP addresses and use something like sitedossier to see how many other sites are hosted on those servers

Someone rolled over a 300k long position and the MM reacted by moving the price up

Sorry TA, I was not very clear...Is there an easier way to get a handle on the number of sites without creating a new one (and thus owning deadwood sites that you never use)

Still signing up at a rate of 26k per quarter...all good IF the proportion of premium is moving up but then we all know that now... :-)

PS, I have no idea what you two are on about now - gyrating violently, 185??

Why ? are you going over there for supper? Plus always gyrates violently; why do you see +18% as being significant?

edited; 185= 18%

The sandwich recipe was not too tempting and I'm starting to wonder about what's in the soup...

TA
best be looking after your near neighbour; it's all that Welsh mountain air over the sea breeze that does it you know. Gives the appetite for sandwiches.

We seem to be at very nearly 144k free network registrations

Isn't it that site you said you were building the other week TA- :-)

looks like a bog standard Zocku site that is basically a referal dumping ground for lots of other adult type sites...I think the successful adult sites might be the ones that advertise other adult sites as opposed to the ones that actually run adult content of their own...successful as in they make money...

I find it hard to beleive there is much demand for paid for member networks given that a lot of internet porn these days is free. So why pay a subscription to a buggy website when you can get super fast access to main stream sites...

I think this could have been the issue for BGT. Not many site owners wanting to pay as they could not get the members coughing up fees. The sites that did well were the ones that were good at affiliate marketing and the traffic they generated was disproportionate to the $50 pm they brought in...so perhaps BGT upped the cost to get more from these power sites that will likely keep going if they are bringing $200pm+ and the other adult sites will just give up the ghost - it seems apparent that BGT no longer cares about the adult side seeing as they closed the doors to new signups and will whittle this service down through attrition...of course, as the sites dwindle, the revenue decreases and the cost per network increases so id expect another cost in crease in the future until eventually all adult sites call it quits...

PS TA, any idea how many sign ups there are? How do you get your numbers, just create a site and check your id tag? Is there a quicker way that does not involve accumulating dead wood sites?

What is www.nunuah.com?

It's hosted on the same server as zocku.com, as if it is part of BGT...

Should be interesting to see how the $100 price plan for zocku turns out

For those that don't know, BGT doubled the price of the basic zocku price plan from $50 to $100 pm, saying that the bandwidth they were using forced the rise on them

My opinion is that if they lose half of the networks due to the rise, that would be good - they would make the same revenue from half the number of networks whilst at the same time saving costs on both bandwidth and customer support

meanwhile, the share price is up 18% on the plus market, which is always good to see

If you leave the Carl sandwich long enough, will it turn into top quality compost?

Will it have the nutrients to grow the finest orchids? Just add a seed and some water...

What you don't know Carl, is she's reading this board right now and she's not happy...

Ha ha...no, not too far from wales though...

classic "tell 'em something good, give them the bad news, tell 'em something good again"...It is a useful coaching technique - stops people getting demoralised when you need to get them to improve or change something... its a people technique, and since people buy shares it works in the markets too - too much bad news and we sell but if there is enough good we may cling on ...im not saying that BGT are going to release bad news by the way!

Yes, she caught the sun - it has been beautiful weather here where i live...and yes, she is a "keeper" ;-)

I guess that at this stage, none of us know if a trading update would do good or bad for the share price, which presents a conundrum

If it were that releasing an honest trading update would result in a price drop, then I prefer them to raise funds first at 1.25p, then update the market after

Conversely, if an early (pre-results) update would result in a price increase, then I'm all for it prior to raising funds

So, the question you have to ask yourself is whether pushing for an early update (pre-placing) would be good or bad for the share price? I'm OK with one final 1.25p placing, but not so happy with pushing the share price down and then placing shares at a discount

I'm confident long-term that they can build a highly profitable business, but I would only push for an update if it would guarantee a share price rise....

Again, I do not want to talk to Dominic on a personal basis; I'd like an update for All the shareholders, and thought if the three of us wrote, we may be favoured with a broad update

I have not asked for an update guys...I have in the past and as you'd expect, the response is understandably evasive - too much at stake for them to give away sensitive info before the market knows...I expect we are not too far away from one and like TA think it will come with detail of a funding of some description...I really hope that it is not sooner rather than later and further more i hope that they do not dilute - but on both counts i may be being too optimistic!

I think Carl may have asked about an update, but not sure. Is that right, Carl?

I did contact Dom, but the response I got added nothing to the points you mentioned after speaking to him, Norbus - V2 will be a big advance, things progressing to plan, optimistic about future.....

For me, the ideal time to give an update would be September - it would mean they have managed until then without need to raise more funds! I have a feeling, though, that we will get an update and fundraising news released at the same time) sooner rather than later. Just a hunch, I hope they manage a bit longer without need to dilute right now
