BrandShield expands its fintech market exposure with three customer wins

BrandShield Systems plc (AIM: BRSD), a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions from brand protection to online threat hunting, is pleased to announce that it has secured new business mandates to support three independent crypto-currency, foreign exchange and online trading brands ('the Clients').

The new mandates, for which BrandShield was approached directly, will see the Company deploy its solutions to detect and shut down the following to ultimately prevent online fraud: fraudulent websites duplicating the Clients' existing websites; websites which imitate the Clients by using similar domain names or logos; and unauthorised mobile apps or fake social media pages.

These type of fraudulent 'online impersonations' are used by cybercriminals to target the Clients' existing and potential new customers across online financial platforms. The Clients will therefore benefit from BrandShield's highly automated SaaS offering, which proactively detects online threats, alerts the customers, and immediately removes these threats, resulting in minimal customer involvement.

BrandShield continues to see a high level of demand for its software from the financial services sector, with its unique platform ideally placed to detect threats that exist across multiple digital platforms, as the growing trend of online fraud continues to permeate across social media, online ads, branded websites and unauthorised mobile apps.
