BARCELONE (Agefi-Dow Jones)--Le groupe pétrolier britannique BP (BP.LN) a annoncé mardi une réduction d'environ 3% des effectifs de ses activités amont au niveau mondial, dans le cadre de son plan de modernisation et d'amélioration de la compétitivité.
BP prévoit de supprimer environ 540 emplois sur les 18.000 que comptent ses activités amont, qui concernent la production de pétrole brut et de gaz naturel.
Le groupe a ajouté qu'il restait déterminé à développer ses activités amont et à atteindre les objectifs de son plan de croissance sur cinq ans.
