I like to think so and will add accordingly. Having been stuffed before when BP decided to tarmac the Gulf of Mexico I have learnt the art of patience in these matters.

veryniceperson, not so sure Al Falih just said on Bloomberg, no deal as yet and can't see the need at the moment to cut, Russia also not on board yet and looking at "options" That is why oil is tanking right now.

Picked up a few at 507, so I got my retrace sooner than expected. Just need OPEC to do the right thing. Plus it's bang on a support line from Feb 2016.

Edit: Good day Bracke. No offence intended, just bored and slightly peeved I just sold my trading batch of BP at 533. Hoping for retrace so I can get back in.

Normally the Pitchfork is shown with three lines, The Median, Upper Parallel, Lower Parallel.

The site I have used for the chart includes the Medians ie. two more lines, one between the ML and UP and the other between the ML and LP. They can be useful in analysing the share price and its likely hood of reaching the ML and beyond.

Not wanting to add to your confusion but it is worth paying attention to the intersection of Pitchfork lines. eg. green lines with black lines

Bracke those lines are so confusing but I will look forward to the 570/580 area. Which could given positive moves in the direction of oil will not be too long...after that of course the next decision will be when to exit and not miss an opportunity like the last one at just under 600p

Unfortunately not. It has reached the lower quartile. The ML is the centre green line. If the share price manages to break above the black ML and continue up it would reach the green ML at approx 570-580.
