05/6/2018 17:19 | Guys you really need to check out COPL currently to buy 0.55p. A potential to be a multi baggar. It tried its luck in Liberia but failed to find any Oil.It is now concentrating in Nigeria. There it has partnered with Shoreline a Nigerian company. Copl and Shoreline have ventured together and created a company called Shorecan which is owned 50/50 by both. They have bidded for a Licence and are awaiting Approval and Transfer of Asset. The asset is OPL 226.Five wells have been drilled on OPL 226 by previous operators.A well drilled in 2001 encountered Oil. When all approvals are sorted then it will drill an appraisal well on the discovery in 2001.Financing for the drilling is meant to be secured for rumours are true. What is holding the share price back presently is NNPC approval. $60m was spent on this asset by the previous operator.the potential for Copl is huge. I know most of you gonna say its another Nigerian scam.IMO i think it is not.Presently we have 2 Nigerian companies listed on the LSE they are Egland Oil and Gas (market cap £250m) and Seplat Petroleum (market cap £850m) Copl management wants it to be a mid tier oil and gas company ie £250m-£5 All to play for.Current market cap for Copl is just under £10m.I think its one of the best plays on the LSE. | nicky21
05/6/2018 09:06 | Morning all! Closed FTSE short, so flat now. Just seen a strange gap up on the DOW 30 minutes, so staying out until things settle. Ladywormer - was in Broadway on Friday, but alas, the McLaren was not mine! Got caught in that downpour on Thursday night as we were leaving Stratford. Wouldn't have liked to have been too low down on the road. Trade well and prosper....... | penycae

04/6/2018 09:47 | Morning all. Just reversed FTSE long. Monkey looking to get us both into larger accommodation asap. Spent a few days in the Cotswolds over the half term. Every other car seemed to be one of those red Italian jobbies with the prancing pony on the front. Definitely a divided nation. You could sit outside the local Greggs for days in the Principality and be lucky to see a Range Rover with a current MOT. Still, you could say it's motivational. Sold out of PFC, so just holding FTSE short. Off to walk the dog. Trade well and prosper....... | penycae

02/6/2018 10:37 | Pope Francis To Discuss Climate Change With Big Oil By Tsvetana Paraskova - Jun 01, 2018, 5:00 PM CDT Pope At a time when investors are piling pressure on Big Oil to take climate change seriously, top executives from some of the major global oil companies will be discussing climate change next week at the Vatican with Pope Francis, who called on Catholics in 2015 to join the fight against climate change, Axios reported on Friday, quoting several people familiar with the plans. According to Axios’s sources, attendees include, among others—BP̵ While other spokespersons either declined to comment or didn’t comment on the report, a spokesman for BP told Axios that Dudley was “looking forward to the Vatican dialogue. He believes gatherings of this kind help develop a better understanding of the energy transition and the best ways for corporations, countries and wider society to participate in it.” A spokesman for Moniz has also confirmed his attendance. A few months before the Paris Agreement was struck in 2015, Pope Francis wrote a so-called papal encyclical letter to the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics saying that climate change is real and “Climate change is a global problem with grave implications: environmental, social, economic, political and for the distribution of goods.” Related: OPEC Sends Oil Prices Crashing The meeting at the Vatican comes just after large global investors—repr “Investors are embracing their responsibility for supporting the Paris agreement. It is time for the entire oil and gas industry to do the same,” sixty large investors wrote in an open letter to the Financial Times. By Tsvetana Paraskova for Oilprice.com | grupo guitarlumber

30/5/2018 12:49 | Good day Penycae I wish you well with your 'upsize' search. Lots of 'events' in the offing. Mr Trump is always good for some volatility and now the Italians want to get in on the act. There is an old Chinese curse which fits the bill: 'May you live in interesting times'. | bracke
30/5/2018 08:49 | ladywormer - no, didn't knock it down, too much respect for the architecture. We converted it into four self-contained flats, which are now occupied. The Towers is still part of the family jools. Closed DOW long from last night. Still holding FTSE and PFC. Missed that 10p here, but you can't have everything. Trade well and prosper........ | penycae
29/5/2018 22:55 | When you say Penycae Towers was redeveloped, I hope it wasn't knocked down and a hundred hamster boxes built in the grounds! | ladywormer
29/5/2018 18:55 | Evening bracke. Net effect of my "downsize" is that I'm living in a smaller house, with two thirds of my furniture in storage. Mrs. P thinks the world of me, but like bagpipes, she prefers me just out of earshot. Looks like we'll be looking for a larger place some time soon. Need an acre or two with some outbuildings. Penycae Towers was a huge Victorian pile over four stories. We clearly need the same square footage, but on one or two levels. Just bought the DOW for an overnight hold. Made some money today on PFC, but still holding that FTSE long. | penycae
29/5/2018 16:56 | Down and up day for these. Like the colour blue much better than red. No point in Saudi and the Russians pumping more, just depresses the price. Not a lot of gain in it. | veryniceperson
29/5/2018 11:25 | Good day Penycae Trust you are well apart from the moving aspect. 'Downsize, Upsize' reads like a verse from the 'Grand Old Duke of York'. You could always sell off some of the "stuff". Do you really need it? I suspect many people are caught in the downsizing quandary. Logically downsizing does mean getting rid of furniture etc. It depends which is more important; the reason you are downsizing or the possessions. Happy Days. | bracke
29/5/2018 08:42 | Morning all. All about gaps now. Tempted, 'cos there's 10p in it, but it might be safer to buy the FTSE for a day trade. Got in at 7665, so time to walk the dog. | penycae
28/5/2018 15:07 | chuckle yep all the european oil majors are imo a decent long term play picked up some TOTAL today and hope that fracas helps me pick up more oilies in the coming days at lower levels | waldron
28/5/2018 13:17 | Waldron - yes, watching it! 550 strike, less the premium is the key level. Not worried if I pick up these shares either. | alphorn |
