16/5/2014 13:40 | 6 stores in India? Would like to know how much they contribute to Booker overall? | pilly11
16/5/2014 12:06 | Just picked up a few at 142.5p, couldn't resist! LOL | woodpeckers
16/5/2014 11:55 | General market down plus landslide in prospect in India for those vowing to make life hard for foreign companies in BOKs line of work. Yep, a buying opp but I still wait for sub 140 | blunderbuss
16/5/2014 11:34 | Bad day today, good buying opportunity a very solid co | blondviking
16/5/2014 11:27 | I was thinking it was a bit odd that we haven't been notified of that yet. Last years results were on the 23rd May and we were notified of that date on the 17th April. | woodpeckers
14/5/2014 21:37 | Turning around a bit now. When are we expecting the next results? Must be soon looking at last year | pilly11
08/5/2014 12:53 | I agree, blunderbuss, it wouldn't surprise me if it were just a sweetener to get votes that never actually happens. I've no idea how much profit actually comes from the Indian arm, so not sure what affect it would have on the business if it did though. I can't imagine CW going to the trouble of opening up there if he weren't fairly sure that it would be lucrative. I see we have 6 branches over there now though so quite a bit of cash must have been piled in to set those up. | woodpeckers
08/5/2014 09:57 | Well my take on the supermarket ban is that they will use it as an electioneering gimmick, extract something from the foreign companies (heavens! what am I saying?), and then get back to business as usual. | blunderbuss
07/5/2014 21:23 | Cheers pilly! :-) Still a little worried about the possible foreign supermarket ban in India though. BJP party look like winning, so may wait until 16th to see results. Not sure if that is why this has been heading south recently, I'm guessing it's worries about that as it hasn't faired nearly as well as usual though I appreciate the markets haven't been great. | woodpeckers
07/5/2014 18:21 | Considering getting back in, seems to have turned at last. will see what tomorrow brings. | woodpeckers
07/5/2014 18:15 | Will be interesting to see results in late May (and going forward) which will hopefully provide some more stability if the general markets fall. I dont see any reason why Booker wont continue to improve | pilly11
07/5/2014 17:25 | I usually set a target price and stick to it unless extraordinary circumstances intervene and provide an opportunity. As WB said, never be afraid to pay to little or sell too high. | blunderbuss
07/5/2014 16:13 | But don't let my posts influence any decision as this could well be the bottom! I just think the market clearly wants a sell off and to correct itself so what would be the point in All this trashing down if in the short term shares are going to roar back up again? Up down up down seems silly imo , better to be patient as it would seem there's more downside in the post yet ... I hope so as all the top 250 shares I want to hold long term are still too expensive .. RTN BOK and HLMA to name a few ... | fruitninja84
07/5/2014 14:45 | Maybe, will top up below 140 if they do drop. | blunderbuss
07/5/2014 14:41 | Not sure bb, could have further to fall yet as main indexes have yet to really come off , market has only cooled off a bit of 2013 imo. This has a tendency to move with the 100 and if it rolls over and tanks a bit over the summer this could well drop with it! These shares are still trading at a high premium as good as they are? | fruitninja84
07/5/2014 13:33 | Well, that looks like the bottom of the recent pull back, looks to be bouncing off the trend line developed April - October last year. | blunderbuss
25/4/2014 18:01 | yeah good fightback this week Nar would guess results out late May | pilly11
22/4/2014 21:35 | fighting back | nar1
15/4/2014 07:22 | It looks like market support at these levels so no top up for me sadly | blunderbuss
14/4/2014 21:49 | Just sneaking below the 200 EMA - needs to find some support and stay above it !!! | nar1
10/4/2014 20:49 | This could take another hammering tomorrow fruit looking at what has happened in the states the last few hours | pilly11 |
