Report by campaign group Labour Behind the Label claimed that workers at some Leicester-based factories were forced to work during lockdown and that some were paid as little as £3.50 an hour. The report also suggested that at least 75 percent of clothing production in all Leicester factories is commissioned by the Boohoo group. The group said yesterday it had found no evidence of suppliers paying workers £3.50 per hour. It has also said it was 'shocked and appalled' by the claims.htTps://www.telegraph.co.uk/fashion/brands/boohoos-fall-shows-no-longer-space-fashion-brands-dont-do-right/

Just concentrate on your investment aims. Maybe if you all put the effort into that you might get somewhere.

So many obvious shorters on here trying to help manipulate the share price unnaturally downwards. Really pathetic and frankly unethical.

Trans. It’s good to let the snow flakes have a bit of freedom to BS, that’s why I am happy to stay out for a few hours. The news is far from over. They haven’t found evidence of slavery (YET!) and that’s the key!! Parliament doesn’t order massive enquiries into things that are just hearsay!

Jan Goff9 Jul 2020 8:39AMI wish I could believe that we care that much about where our clothing comes from but the queues at Primark show how much we want cheap disposable clothing. Any charity shop will tell you how often clothing donations arrive still with the original price tags on. Social media is full of pop up adverts for ultra cheap clothing. Wish is a company that is one of the offenders. Some of their products are advertised as free. All that is required is p and p. Clearly they are selling well from their Chinese base. Some of school clothing advertised by our supermarkets makes you wonder how they are freighted and packaged for the price let alone manufactured. More education on landfill, environmental damage and employment conditions and perhaps laws rather than codes of practice within the rag trade to govern their behaviour.Daily Telegraph
