The traders are taking it through stops as there will be an institutional investor accumulating . I bet within the next week you will see a holdings RNS.

Supassapi : Sorry nothing personal, I thought you were selling at a loss.( misunderstood )
Has Charlie Munger said about the tightrope walker
"real knowledge is knowing the extent of ones ignorance", " Knowing what you don't know is more useful than being brilliant "if you buy and sell on the whipsaw of the market you're gonna loose. Buy and sell when your happy not when the market scares you.

Jeez!!! What's happening with this one.
Glad I sold day before the results, thought it was getting a bit iffy with director sells and high valuation. Got back in a few days later at 235 but sold again when it started slipping again. Be back in once this sell off calms down

The chart does look terrible, but it is difficult to see any reason for this massive pullback, over 30% down on very little news.

The last time it dropped like this in 2015, it took 16 months to get back to the original levels. This is the reality people have to face up to.

Huge technical chart breakdown after head & shoulders.

Support is at 140p, wouldn't touch this until that level or unless the share price regains control of 217p resistance

I'm not a chartist but to me the next support on the chart looks like 178. Bought it at 1.96 so jumped in a little too early although like mrmoneybags, pretty confident this will come good in a few months.

Bamboo2,

If you are reading this, the link here does show an uncanny resemblance to the M Pattern I mentioned. If it were to play out, we could be looking at sub £1.60 prices.

Does anyone actually know why the shares are dropping so dramatically? Yes margins are part I am sure but sales have doubled/profits up/etc. so why.
OK they drop to 15o or whatever then some will top up - why then will they all of a sudden rise??
Repeat - does anyone actually know?

Minnow.. ... thanks for that ... I bought in early May 2107 so made profit still but went against advice to sell on news as I thought it would be good news which it was but didn't expect such a fall which seems to be continuing each day. So yes could have timed my exit better but as still made profit then not sure I am "mug" but always willing to learn, this game not easy.

@zapa re posts 8140, 8144 and 8160: I used the '% of voting rights attached to shares' figure from the RNSs and ignored the '% of voting rights through financial instruments' (which would include CFDs) in my calculations. So, my understanding is that these are real shares, not CFDs, which are being accumulated at an increased rate.

BTW, I track several metrics to indicate bullish/bearishness of shares. We're currently at a negative sentiment level for BOO that hasn't been seen since May 2015 (when I bought my first BOO shares at 25.5p!) Although that doesn't mean a rally will happen immediately, it tips the balance towards one at some point in the next few weeks - markets cannot sustain extreme negative moves for excessive amounts of time (reversion to mean), particularly when the fundamentals are this good.

To be clear, I'm not saying BOO won't drop further - it could well do - but I certainly wouldn't consider selling with the setup as it is. FWIW my experience is that a major drop like this requires a false bounce or two and several weeks of 'healing' while people who bought at the top lick their wounds and gradually exit. Once that process has completed, the people who have been gradually accumulating their shares start to predominate, supply of shares to sell reduces and price can only go up from there. It's a slow process which is why we still see plenty of posts at the moment about people who wish they'd sold out earlier (don't we all - I'd love to call the tops exactly and buy in lower but my crystal ball doesn't work that well!)

Adealsiddiq110 - In fact I am shifting profits made elsewhere to this beaten BOO.
I feel it has reached an oversold floor.

What we need to remember is that the underlying story hasn't changed, it's still heading the right way and will bring a nice profit to those who are patient and that is what investing and trading is about.A point to remember nothing goes up in a straight line it has to go down in order for it to go further up.Patient and faith is the key here.Hold onto what you have and when you get and oppertunity to buy low add the the wealth
