13/9/2007 18:01 | Prospective PE is therefore between 11 and 12, so still cheap. | welsheagle
13/9/2007 17:45 | I took profits on half of mine at 211p. Looks like broker's forecast was lowered 5% after the interims from 15.7p to 15.1p for this year and 17.5p to 17.2p for next year. | wjccghcc
13/9/2007 13:35 | BDI's illiquidity still amazes me - down 10p on just a few shares traded for a £62m m/cap company. An opportunity for some methinks. | rivaldo
13/9/2007 10:04 | All in good humour on here! | boadicea
12/9/2007 23:01 | refreshing to get a polite exchange rather than some of the acrimonious (is that the right spelling?)commentary we get on other threads | melody9999
12/9/2007 22:43 | :o)) Nice one boadicea, I think you've got me! I stand by my earlier comments - but I can only think that the FD's been on holiday for the last 3 weeks or more, or maybe the original notification got misfiled! Let's highlight the main issue here anyway - Fidelity must be pretty convinced about BDI as Beaufort1 says above. | rivaldo
12/9/2007 17:14 | ding ding, sounds like boadicea has a knock out :-) good spot | sper
12/9/2007 17:11 | ...except that the RNS says - "6. Date on which issuer notified: 13th August 2007" | boadicea
12/9/2007 11:39 | ....But, oh dear! -The notification is 4 weeks out of time and Bond knew on 13th August. Must try harder. | boadicea
12/9/2007 11:39 | Wow, that's an interesting nugget Rivaldo - thanks. Fidelity must have had a pretty full briefing on the company and its prospects in order to invest over £4m in the company at a premium to the share price | beaufort1
12/9/2007 09:02 | Fidelity have just popped up with a 7.9% holding (2.41m shares): They acquired 2,187,735 shares via the August 220p placing - so they acquired all but 100k of the available shares! Fidelity were obviously extremely keen... | rivaldo
10/9/2007 09:28 | NJP is right, they usually have a H2/H1 split of 60/40 so well on track to meet/beat expectations. 14% LFL growth is good as is the diversification away from recruitment. Order book and pipeline continuing to strengthen bodes well for the full year as well. | wjccghcc
10/9/2007 08:49 | Have sold my position here - was small anyway - plenty of other stocks out there and to be honest, ive had 4 co's out with interims today and this one didnt excite me. Need a bit of cash on the side if any buying opps present themselves in the near future. Good luck | stegrego
10/9/2007 08:33 | Steg I had the same impression and cut s/bs first thing. Actually, I believe H2 performance is usually better and I'll check back on my notes, but tied up at the mo so will report back later. My main reason for cutting exposure though is more market than stock related. Saying all the right things in the commentary though. | njp
10/9/2007 08:23 | Outlook for recruitment, recruiters & their need for BDI's products probably the worry - though BDI have done a good job of diversifying income sources and increasing recurring streams. | polzeath
10/9/2007 08:16 | Any ideas what expectations were / are on this? Seem a bit underwhelmed be the results.. | stegrego
10/9/2007 08:15 | Bond S Bond Intl H1 pretax profit up 17 pct to 1.9 mln stg; upbeat on outlook LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Bond International Software PLC posted a 17 pct rise in its first-half pretax profit, helped by revenue growth and acquisitions, and said it remains confident of its full-year prospects, as the order book and prospect list continue to grow. The company's pretax profit was 1.92 mln stg, compared with 1.65 mln stg a year earlier, and adjusted pretax profit was up 44 pct to 1.82 mln stg. It said revenues surged 87 pct to 13.9 mln stg, through a combination of organic growth of 14 pct and the acquisitions of Gowi Group and Strictly | welsheagle
09/9/2007 22:13 | Guy goes to visit a tart... Pays & says "I want a storm. Make the thunder" So she lies him on the bed in his birthday suit & starts to kick the door. He says "Where's the lightening?" So she flicks the light on & off whilst kicking the door. He says "Well, with all that going on you'd expect some rain, wouldn't you?" So she nips out to the garden, gets a watering can & fills it, returns to the room, stands on a chair over the bed, kicking the door, flicking the lights on & off & spraying the bed with water.... "Great storm" he says. She says "Well, what about what you really came here for? Aren't you going to get round to that now you've had your storm?" He answers "What? You're joking! You expect me to rise in weather like this?!!!" _________________ Sounds like peeps hoping their shares will rise 'cos the results were good..... | napoleon 14th
07/9/2007 10:29 | ditto, lets hope Monday is something to look forward to! | sper
06/9/2007 12:18 | I would have expected a bit more interest (i.e share price up) in this prior to mondays results? | apppp
22/8/2007 07:29 | So results and analyst briefings will be out on September 10th - a Monday morning for maximum impact! We can presumably assume that the results will be just fine as BDI do not mention any problems. | rivaldo
20/8/2007 12:19 | Early buying for no specific reason (wasn't tipped on the weekend AFAIK), and nice to see small volumes having a major effect on the price. Buyers now can still pay substantially less than the 220p the institutions were willing to stump up only 2 weeks ago. | rivaldo |
