BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhua) -- China's electronic information industry continued to grow quickly last year, with its value-added output expanding 10 percent year on year, the latest official data showed.

The growth was 0.5 percentage points slower than that in 2015, but outpaced overall industrial output growth by 4 percentage points, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

The statistics took into account major electronic information companies, or those with annual revenues of more than 20 million yuan (about 3 million U.S. dollars).

The industry's rapid development was boosted by Internet-based innovations and government efforts to improve Internet infrastructure.

China has over 700 million Internet users and 1.3 billion mobile phone users -- more than any country on both measures.

In 2016, China produced 2.1 billion mobile phones, up 13.6 percent year on year, the MIIT data showed.

Smartphone output reached 1.5 billion last year, accounting for nearly 75 percent of total cellphone production and rising 9.9 percent from 2015.

China plans to channel 1.2 trillion yuan into information infrastructure projects, mainly broadband and mobile network improvement, from 2016 to 2018.

Cannot be negative to BNN. This new venture will drive mobile content, which will make people use xinhaunet app more, hence more data and more transactions. IMHO.

Total amateur 3 rd ever post Been following Bnn for 6 months and I think they will soon be massive Reading Bnn site 27 th Jan I think I can see what they are going to do Alipay and tenpay have over 80% of China's mobile payment systems worth over 4 trillion dollars a year and there is little "China union pay company "with only 1% of mobile payments They admit that they have been slow but intend to dominate Mobile payments and didn't enforce a law that would have stopped Alipay and Tenpay in their tracks in 2014 " learn how to do it and then do it yourself "Am sure Bnn are involved with Alipay and Tenpay but the big involvement will be with the government owned china union Which I am sure Bnn are involved with Reg mf

I can't help but think it will be good news ... things have been nothing but!for some time and only a delay in the listing can be the bad news and that has melted through to the shareholders by now if the case ?

I believe the statement I posted is true and so will a lot of other people. No news and this will keep dropping bit by bit. Its been so long people are expecting a bumper RNS. If its not we will be below a £1 you see. I just hope its good news so I can get out of here at £1.70.

Credock. Stop posting such ridiculous statements. You cannot predict the share price on no news. If news is released that is disappointing then share price might fall. Otherwise, the share price will be determined by market forces. The facts are this share has few SELLERS in the greater scheme of things, hence there is Huge volatility. As soon as news is released we will know more and the share price will react accordingly. Having said that share price movements don't always follow sense. I mentioned APPLE a few months ago. Wall Street was down beat against it and it was around $110 mark. Not much changed in company long term fundamentals and now it is $140. Thing is, the perception has changed!! Go reckon! Lucky I am a long term share holder of apple and I ride out the storms in "market perception"! BNN will inform us of their current performance and future prospects soon, I hope, and then all this short term rhetoric can subside for a while. GLA.

Lets hope this MW character is right or we will hung out to dry here in the next couple of weeks without news. This price will not hold for another month of no news. Then like I have said news will take it back to £1.35 where we were before or rubbish news will see 90p.Good luck holders like myself.

I like MW's journalistic style. Obviously he has been briefed by someone close to BNN. Outtake is, business is doing very well. Delay in announcements due to many multicultural sign off issues. A lot of irons in the fire. DM is a crucial linch pin in making things work. We should not compare BNN to the Chinese fintech big boys. Relationship with Xinhautong is critical. Rural uptake of mobile transactions will differentiate BNN from the big boys. BNN is not the BBC, but it is a production company supporting BBC programming. Hence its name is not widely named in the news. For those who have access to MW you will see I have not published anything I should not. Just my interpretation of his article. GLA.
