Listened all the way through the BRR broadcast.

Much of the usual hype for this type of company, much of it gough to the uninitiated.
However waiting for an explanation of the share price debacle, not forthcoming.
Unlike many companies of this nature, they do seem to be able to focus on cash breakeven, which will please the u.k mkt.

One moment when all is explained, by the financial lady ?
"That is why we have taken a one time hit, to move cash recognition further forward & financially proof the cash flow," or words of that ilk.

Taking the whole 50mins together, lot said, but if they have got the finances under control & can satisfy the accountants, a very bullish outlook.

A large services platform growing at 2013 rate, with positive cash-flow would be an interesting prospect.

I note IC tipped blur as a buy well over 400p and now a hold.

Should get some revised broker price targets coming through.Allowing for dilution the 600p Numis forecast would still be 366p.
Assuming they slash revenue forecasts for this year by the same amount as Singer, you still end up with a 259p price target,so will be interesting to see what they come up with.

2016 is only 18 months away.

Steg. I live quite close to Exeter Science Park so plan to go to AGM and suggest that the " Meter " reflects value of projects executed rather than submitted.

It's crazy that Blur use the actual project value as a revenue figure, as this is blatantly not true.

(a) Revenue recognition
Revenue is recognized on a gross basis, as our evaluation and assessment of the indicators under
IAS 18 supports the fact that blur is acting as principal for each project. The factors that are
considered and prove decisive in the conclusion of this assessment include the following:

• blur has the latitude to agree the fee for each project with a customer;
• blur has primary responsibility providing the services to a customer. blur are responsible for the
quality of the service delivery, delivered on time, budget and to a sufficiently high standard. This
includes the management of the service delivery of the expert; and
• blur facilitates both commercial terms and the project management for each project.

LOL. So BLUR is acting as principal i.e. if the 'expert' walks away half way through a project they still have to deliver it?!

Also are there any other examples of 'exchanges' that report revenue as the gross value of transactions?

About 11 million dollars which is about 7 million quid. That is spread over many years.

Totally unworkable.

But the projects keep rolling in and the funding issue is not only behind them, but enables an even more aggressive expansion drive.

What's 4 percent? As that is what they end up with ie 20 percent of 20 percent.

Also, that is only if the projects go without a hitch and they don't get abandoned or cut back or fall into dispute.

No - in the real world this is a company ran by an egotistical megalomaniac who has very little business sense.

They are hiring grads who know little to nothing about what services they are supposed to be vetting.

Meanwhile back in the real world the company is now well funded and can move swiftly with their expansion plans into the far east.I note projects have jumped to $268,400,290 this amWill be watching what Letts does.
