J, do you think Moni and Blinkx will still be taken over by Google/IBM/Microsoft?

And will this be taken over by ebay/amazon?

TIA.

Totally agree with you bookbroker. Gutted to see from broker forecast that losses would only end financial year 2016 (predict zero or -1p eps) after Blur changed their accounting method. However from 2017 I think they should make eps of 7p, 2018 of 14p and 2019 of 28p. This means at 80p current price, PE of 11.4, 5.7 and 2.8 respectively for 2017, 2018 and 2019. The crucial thing is for the management to deliver these values for the shareholders before they start to think of expansion again.

I would disagree when you say "It is profits" that are required.
At this point in the company's development what is important is rapidly growing the top line at sustainable margins.
They like to talk in terms of "value of projects listed" which is bullsh*t as that is just a way to make the business look considerably bigger than it actually is.
IF this model works and that is a big IF then this could be huge as they seem to have first mover advantage but until I see them really gaining critical mass and driving the revenue line up I will keep my powder dry.

I have a friend who is the MD of a successful private medium sized business in the UK it has over 100 staff and has raised its profits every year through the recession through slow but steady careful growth. They made over £1.5M proft last year on turnover around £30M....his total salary package including bonus and car is about £100K so I really do struggle to see how most of these tiny loss making listed companies justify the huge salaries they pay to the senior management team.
I have no problem with rewards for success but that does not seem to be the case most of the time.
Blur is no better or worse than literally hundreds of other small loss making companies with big dreams.

Well we saw some buying by non-execs. a while back, I hope they have packed off Barbara Spurrier rather than paying her a ridiculous consulting fee via her own co., she seems to have little use, these small cos. seem to be far too top heavy in directors and advisors soaking up precious cash.

Looks like poster fatigue here, does anyone know whether Tintin Stormont is male or female, because he/she seems to keep prattling on about this as a good investment, now off course it would be biased as the house broker, but is the individual really qualified to comment on what is a new concept in doing business!

Hopefully this new FD from October is asserting himself on costs, at least staff levels were brought to heel, EJ. you were probably dealt with by an intern, they seem to like utilising them, but I hope that the open/permanent staff have learnt a good deal from the early days in handling each brief!

This is not a basket at all, it needs to prove that its business model can work, these analysts like Stormont of N1 Singer seem to give the co. the benefit of the doubt, Letts has to prove he can deliver, the share price relative to where it was at the outset now back at realistic level, there has been a great deal of interest in the platform in terms of listings, it is where we go from here that is key.

EJ. if this is such a basket case as you suggest, you have to explain away not only the repeat business from major clients but also the £50k share buys in Feb by 2 experienced NEDs.

The important thing is they now have a much better spread of clients listing on the platform, and large organisations to boot, so the kind of co. making a listing far better quality, also a proper finance director rather than just Barbara Spurrier, is it really necessary to keep her on the books along with her fees, Erogenous I get your point, still I suppose this a still a young co. looking for traction, next results will explain more.

Erogenous Jones :

As always I bow to your experience & do not disagree with any of your valid points.

I would value your opinion on the line that the big boys are bringing repeat business.
I think you may wisely take the line that you want to see the bottom line.
Someday we will.

Still think you should adjust your expectations a little to value what is a growing platform.

The problem for the share price being it's a UK. platform not in Nasdaq fairyland.

Cheers Hay.
