17/7/2018 09:13 | Good to see some supportive trades going through. Might take some today myself. | moreminer
17/7/2018 07:44 | It looks as flat and clear as I have seen, beautiful place when it’s like this... ..overlooking a digger! :) | ![]() rampair
17/7/2018 07:26 | Shavian - check the schedules on the site. Malik Arctica is due to moor off Moriusaq tomorrow and so will move south. It seems that the shiny red diggers on the deck (to the left) are for good ol' Bluejay. The current picture shows a launch which is the first time I have seen that. | ![]() snowyflake
17/7/2018 07:24 | If you look to the North, the Malik Arctica is in port. She has our diggers on Deck. R. | ![]() rampair
17/7/2018 06:42 | Where did you get that from Rampair? If they are coming via Royal Arctic, the only big ship heading north up the west coast is the Irena Arctica way to the south, and docking today at Manitsoq. Can’t see her getting zoo Dundas by tomorrow. The webcam is not pointing at at the deck, so I can’t tell if she has diggers aboard. | ![]() shavian
16/7/2018 22:41 | Yes Gersemi, next up, delivery of a few more diggers in a couple of days ( Wednesday I was told by someone checking) I think as strong a hint has been given that we will certainly have been sharing our ilmenite with the local Producer in Quebec. Whether it turns into a deal I leave that to be debated, probably other production centres too. R. | ![]() rampair
16/7/2018 20:25 | 12 July - Bluejay Mining* (JAY LN) 22.1p, Mkt Cap £188m – Shutdown of Richard’s Bay in South Africa due to violent intimidation may force Rio Tinto into finding new supply STRONG BUY – included in MSCI index Target Price 45p Rio Tinto must surely want to ditch RBM and the trouble it causes for another titanium mineral sands producer They had a project Mozambique lined up but the Riversdale disaster means they might not want to go back in there for another decade or two We reckon Rio’s QIT business in Quebec needs cheap, high-grade feed to restore its fortunes with Bluejay Mining tempting management with its world-class grade and close location, albeit within the Artic Circle The Exxarro sale last year implied significant attributable value to Tronox last year demonstrating that there is perceived value in the sector Buying Bluejay Mining could help Rio restore value so that it could offload the business in a rerun of the BHP flotation of South 32 which was a win-win for both companies There is ongoing uncertainty as Tronox continue to have to justify its acquisition of Cristal with the US Federal Trade Commission particularly as they are to stop selling rutile to external customers. Conclusion: We are waiting for news on the Feasibility Study for Bluejay’s Dundas mineral sands project in Greenland. We are also waiting to see confirmation and further verification of the extraordinarily high-grade ilmenite seen in the Iterlak Delta. *An share price Angel mining analyst has visited the Dundas (formerly Pituffik) ilmenite sands project in Greenland. *SP Angel act as nomad and broker to BlueJay Mining. | ![]() gersemi

16/7/2018 16:57 | rampair - any chance of providing a link which we can open to the John Meyer interview which bbb has posted? | ![]() snowyflake
16/7/2018 16:44 | I can never make these links work! John Meyer discussing small cap miners as potential bid targets. Mentions JAY near the end of the 4 minute interview. Doubly interesting for me as my second biggest investment is ARCM, also mentioned. If you want a link that works, it's on the lse board for ARCM. | ![]() bigboyblue
16/7/2018 12:18 | Richards Bay: Shutdown according to Mining journal, contractors barricades have caused a shutdown of the facility. (Shorter url with tiny url.com) This mentioned Bluejay as a new possible source of Ilmenite. Not many realise that Rio’s large facilities are far nearer to us in Greenland than one would think. They are based at Sorel Tracy, near Quebec, directly on the St Lawrence seaway. At this Base are Rio’s TiO2 manufacturing facilities for Northern America (Canada and the US) | ![]() rampair

14/7/2018 23:55 | Wow, somebody has been busy tonight. Every single post since the 27th June has suddenly received a red thumbs down. I wonder if this individual had anything to do with the recent unusual selling patterns. Just a thought like. | ![]() shutittrev

13/7/2018 16:12 | So no 6666 trades today, pity! Darn that Lazy sitting Duck. Anyway, normally I am very lazy, but this one I have researched and care to share with you. The secret of the 6666 trades. MM The role of numbers in determining luck The role of numbers in determining luck has a long history in Chinese culture . For example, it is said that in the Forbidden City there are 9999 rooms. When buying a house or choosing a telephone number or a license plate number for one's automobile, the choice is generally made with an eye to the perceived luckiness of the available numbers. The number 2 is considered lucky because 'all good things come in pairs', it has been observed. The number 6 is an example of the sound byte association mentioned above: "six" is pronounced "liu" in Mandarin Chinese, which sound byte is close to the sound byte for the Mandarin Chinese word which means "flowing, smooth, or frictionless", therefore the number 6 is considered very lucky, especially where it occurs in multiples. So highly is the number 6 prized, in fact, that a motorcycle dealership in Zengcheng in Guangdong Province paid the net sum of RMB 272,000 (USD $34,000) for a motorcycle license plate bearing the number AW6666. | moreminer
13/7/2018 14:43 | I'll be loading up at these prices hopefully sometimes next week when funds are cleared, well surprised that there wasn't a little pop in the price this morning with the Rio article . | ![]() adamstip
13/7/2018 14:32 | What's with these piffling little (apparent) AT sell trades which keep going thru. I have noticed a plethora of these for the past few days. Always around the same amount (550 today), yesterday a couple of dozen around the 750 mark, day before, the same. And previous days by and large. Can any of the larger brained individuals who frequent this thread help this obtuse Northern no-mark out with an explanation? Muchos obligos. | ![]() shutittrev
13/7/2018 12:40 | Many thanks Rampair for your explanation. I still can't help wondering why, with so much going for JAY and the recent suggestion of interest from RIO there isn't more action in the share price Normally there would be a flurry of interest but we seem to be dried out! Take out expectations normally see's an increase in trading and i wouldn't have thought this prospect was fully included in the current valuation. Maybe the selling will slow up even if the buying doesn't improve. Again, thanks for clarification. G | ![]() graham10k
13/7/2018 11:51 | Graham 10k, if you look at the Mineral Assemblage analysis of Bluejays Ilmenite, it has a %’age of TiO2 - Ilmenite is FeTiO3 it’s a ratio. The Madagascar Ilmenite is decent, However have you checked Madagascar recently? It’s not like the Film. Our Ilmenite has a decent %age of TiO2. Its in Greenland and if you research where RIO Titané e Fer is, you will see it’s in Quebec- that’s somewhat nearer than Madagascar. Richards Bay, RIOs other Titanium plant has it’s own issues as it’s situated in rural Kwa Zulu Natal and people keep getting keen on nicking the power lines, and last year I think RIO declared Force Majeure due to roaster failure?. It was all built in the 1970’s it’s a bit of an older plant apparently and a the thinking behind RIO being interested in us is very simple - their plant in Quebec is off the main river of the St Lawrence seaway, basically head South from Moriusaq, turn West into the St Lawrence seaway etc etc. From what I can see, they have spare capacity. RIO used to serve 12% of the Worlds TiO2 needs, it’s own reserve is now 50 or 60 years worked, a big pit, blast and haul rock and crush it to get the Ilmenite out. Very likely RIO may be looking at the Itelak results. They may well be interested in Offtake or Purchase, but they are a large entity and decisions of these nature are partly political- this is where we hold a very good card. Greenland is virgin ground, there’s predicted to be masses of projects here, if a company like RIO Or even Tronox, Lomons etc want a foothold in this massive province, we are a great way in. Obviously these are my opinions and I’m writing as a shareholder, so with that note I would suggest a bit of research ! R. | ![]() rampair
13/7/2018 11:08 | Graham. Normal protocol in the English language, when two things are different, they're given different names. E.g. Ilmenite Vs TiO2 | ![]() sheep_herder
13/7/2018 11:03 | From the above link comes the comment; "The Dundas project, formerly the Pituffik titanium project, is at an advanced stage and has a total resource of 96-million tonnes at 6.9% ilmenite. This includes the newly identified area of mineralisation at Iterlak Delta, where Bluejay is currently undertaking an exploration programme." However, from this link; comes the comment; "The ilmenite mined in Madagascar contains 60 per cent titanium dioxide (TiO2) making it a higher quality than most other global sources." So with Ilmenite at 60% from Madagascar to 6.9% from Dundas, why would RIO be attracted to JAY? G | ![]() graham10k |
