10/7/2018 08:23 | how long does it take to wheel shovel up some sand, sift/separate it, bag it (5000 ton sample?)and ship it to client...then wait on the phone call from "the man from Delmonte"...."He say YESSSSSS!" | thebigchap
10/7/2018 07:39 | So do we have a good idea of when this might conclude? "I would have thought the off take agreement(s) would not come until after the larger smelter samples had been processed, delivered and confirmed?" G | graham10k
09/7/2018 18:43 | TBC good point it’s all laid out in the May 22 rns. | rampair
09/7/2018 16:59 | I would have thought the off take agreement(s) would not come until after the larger smelter samples had been processed, delivered and confirmed? | thebigchap
09/7/2018 16:42 | That was mine Andy. I was bored!! Still waiting for this effing off take ffs!! Just saying like. | shutittrev
09/7/2018 16:36 | 6666 trade at 16.35!!. Are you bored Macca? | citytilidie
09/7/2018 10:36 | Havnt hac time this morning Rampair, will look later ,cheers | 25wbh
09/7/2018 09:03 | Morning 25, have you been looking at the unloading? Not sure I’d fancy lifting a big digger off! Wish we could see the shore! | rampair
09/7/2018 08:53 | Prob more I would say , 2 years at least Don't see Alba being the operator somehow | 25wbh
08/7/2018 19:36 | Snowy, I think Alba are at least a year away from deploying any big kit. Now back on terra firma, barbie-Ing a few snags overlooking our wonderful St Brides Bay. What a weekend. | shavian
08/7/2018 16:32 | Shavian - the next port of call after Moriusaq is Qaanaak. If there was anything on the Malik for Alba did it get taken off with our gear or if it were to have been taken off at Qaanaak was there nothing which on the face of it seems to be the case since the webcam at 16.00 local shows there is nothing left on deck. | snowyflake
08/7/2018 16:10 | Sorry guys, sitting on an idyllic little beach only accessible by water. Bit like Moriusaq only warmer. So missed the initial landing. Webcam now showing Malik discharging lesser bits of kit into the lighter. Hope we'll get some shots of the camp on the website soon, if only to post on the Alba blog! | shavian
08/7/2018 14:11 | British GP now takes precedence!! | rampair
08/7/2018 13:36 | Missed the last few pictures (been up a ladder painting the house) but I see the Tonka has gone and assume they are unloading onto dry land that we can't see, behind the camera. As you say, they have probably done this sort of thing before, so I'll go back to the painting and let them get on with it without my help. | bigboyblue
08/7/2018 12:53 | Yes, my Nautical expertise extends to “lovely water” comments! That and passing bags to the Rampair family on ferries! | rampair
08/7/2018 12:44 | I think from a comment he made yesterday Shavian may be the sailor amongst us!! Shavian - still on the briny? | snowyflake
08/7/2018 12:34 | The boats angle has changed, could it be that the barge is a buffer between shallow water and the ship? As she turns side on it could stop her running aground?.. | rampair
08/7/2018 12:25 | Yes, it’s a big blighter, .....I think the rear crane can reach good ground!!, if not Eek! They are fairly practised I think! | rampair
08/7/2018 12:22 | Yes, I see. But that is a pretty big Tonka Truck that appears to be first off, too big for the barge. Off course we can't see what's behind the camera either. We'll see what happens. | bigboyblue
08/7/2018 12:13 | BBB - I potted a little while back that what looks like a small barge was hanging from the forward crane. It is now in the water to the right of the Malik. Have to wait for the next picture to see what happens next!!! I have pointed out to Rampair that the draught of the Malik may be too deep for the Moriusaq harbour but that frankly is a guess. I have to say I am just guessing from the sequence of pics | snowyflake
08/7/2018 12:03 | Seems we've dropped anchor a bit offshore Rampair. Do you reckon we unload here onto a smaller ferry type vessel? | bigboyblue
08/7/2018 08:44 | Coasting home in early morning light, according to company tracking its in the area, It’s the red shape at the top of the map, use two fingers to move and expand the map. She’s off Moriusaq now. You can also turn on satellite (google earth)view. | rampair
08/7/2018 07:21 | The schedule for the Malik was absent for much of yesterday but when it reappeared late on, it confirmed Shavian's earlier point that the Malik arrives at 7am (local) this morning or 11 am UK. The mist has lifted. | snowyflake
08/7/2018 05:54 | Nearly there. Weather good and sea like a millpond; looks spectacular. What a place to live (except for September to May)! | bigboyblue
08/7/2018 00:47 | Very Misty at midnight, but many mines operate in some exotic terrain, I’d rather mist and the odd bit of rain/sun it is better than some fly blown swamp.cold is easier to deal with thanks! 18 Different weather stations on one page. Link up top of page. It’s 14c in Kangeroosack- that’s not bad. We’ve got a decent Lead Zinc Licence (40%+ metal intercept)!up there, project 3 after Disko. It will be Sunny with a bit of cloud this afternoon 8c. Ideal for working in Haulage cabs and Excavators. Let’s get them off safely first and hope our Boat cam records it. R. | rampair |
