The security allegations were dealt with about two months ago. Why don't you log on and ask them cyberbub, it's an open Q/A session.

Hi Doodlebug... One sensed a certain professional jealousy perhaps.. or a little mischief making in some of the tweets and articles. As you say Doodle, I thought IOTA's David Sønstebø put them in their place in his very witty and well written response! :)

PatientCapital... "do you live in a different time zone?" Yep, the Twilight Zone! lol ;) All depends what you mean by different, different to what? :) I live in the UK and am a bit of a night owl at times. :)

Measure this market in trillions, not billions.
Though estimates vary, most tech companies and research firms measure the IoT market size with trillion-dollar estimates. The latest IDC data shows that global spending for the Internet of Things will hit $1.29 trillion in 2020.

Jeremy Epstein questioning the motives behind the articles.

Replying to @tamaradull @Forbes
It's a shame that MIT and Forbes succumbed to click bait headline implying vulnerability is there. it was closed out. Is that honest?

Cybernest - I think there were two articles published recently, one in forbes.com and the other in medium.com which sparked the response from the IOTA team. IOTA have always made it clear that security is one of their main concerns - the bigger the company the more vulnerable it is to potential hackers. IOTA have responded very well to any questions raised in the articles.

For those who may have worried about some alarming headlines last night regarding an alleged IOTA "vulnerability"... relax and read this witty clarification by David Sønstebø, the founder of IOTA:

"The IOTA Team will continue to work diligently (and tirelessly) to make IOTA the first production-ready distributed ledger protocol. When it comes to security, you can never be safe enough. We hope that researchers, whether independent or from academic institutions, will continue to join us on this path to build a protocol that is scalable, sound and secure."

“Our team is very happy to welcome IOTA Foundation as platform sponsor,” said Nick Beglinger, CEO of the Zurich-based Cleantech21 foundation and initiator of Hack4Climate. “IOTA’s focus and unique strengths regarding Internet of Things (IoT) are key tools in the fight against climate change. Climate action requires absolute transparency, and transparency requires completely reliable data.”

Current market cap (£6m), less investments and £200k in cash (£2m), suggests the 31% Satoshipay holding is valued at £4m. 100% of Satoshipay is therefore worth £13m.

If Satoshipay were to IPO (or RTO) surely it would be valued significantly higher!!

Bring on the RTO so the full value can be experienced by the market...

Good question hazl. Judging from the visitor's flag counter in the header we have plenty of visitors who don't post, so perhaps people are just trying to gather information and research before making a decision whether or not to buy in. Also the further we get into September the closer we get to the next stage and news about the Satoshipay PoC with IOTA - which could happen at any time.
