27/3/2017 06:18 | "Stealing Jobs" has been, if not a perennial story, a recurring story over many decades; usually unfounded. Dyson says in recent report announcing record profits: "However, Sir James downplayed recent reports that a third of UK jobs could be taken over by robots. “I hope that robotics means that we need a lot less human cleaners but to design and make robots you need an army of highly skilled engineers,” I note that a robot mower didn't mow my lawn yesterday nor will the vacuum cleaner clean the house today on its own... and my breakfast still isn't ready this morning ;-)! | sogoesit

25/3/2017 19:44 | Daily Tel Friday Cara mcGoogan A third of existing British jobs are at risk of being taken over by robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) within 15 years, a report reveals. As many as 30pc of existing roles in the UK could be automated by 2030 with the most at risk industries being waste management, transportation and manufacturing, according to an analysis by PwC. However, the report stressed that automation won't result in rocketing unemployment. "The UK employment rate is at its highest level now since comparable records began in 1971, despite advances in digital and other labour-saving technologies," said John Hawksworth, chief economist at PwC. Mr Hawksworth anticipates that manual and routine tasks will be susceptible to automation, with social skills and creative roles being more protected. "That said, no industry is entirely immune from future advances in robotics and AI," he said | petewy

24/3/2017 11:25 | If PRSM continue to outperform it is possible they will break even on a monthly basis by the end of the Summer. There has to be a tipping point when the income from contracts exceeds the costs which are expensed upfront.I suppose the longer that takes the better as it would indicate the number of new contracts and upsells would still be a high percentage of the overall contracts - I.e. They are still growing v fast.Hope that makes sense :) | croasdalelfc
