21/1/2018 12:07 | What's not to like here? probably Argentina bonds, Turkish bonds, 3.7% OCF. The discount ought to be at least double the current circa 9%, imho. (Although ocf looks cheap vs that of VinaCapital Vietnam Opps at 4.44%) Still, I estimate that there are significant headwinds / imponderables for this offering. | cordwainer
01/11/2017 10:15 | Up about 30% over a year. Great going and fantastic yield to boot. | quepassa
06/7/2017 20:17 | Very nice dividend this has been a really good performer for me. | rogerbridge
06/7/2017 07:22 | Goes X-D today to the tune of 4.7p. Hence the expected share price fall. Pays 15th. Aug. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
30/6/2017 15:53 | Major volumes in Blue Planet today on an otherwise thinly traded stock. Discount to NAV will be narrowed by increasing market interest. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
30/6/2017 13:34 | Hi dear,E-mail me back on my box for a special reason Please write me back (giftherbert455@gmai | giftherbert455
30/6/2017 10:43 | A truly astonishing increase in final dividend by a whopping 56.7%. Current yield now a jaw-dropping 10%. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
17/5/2017 12:09 | Often underloved and overlooked but over a year this has been a STAR PERFORMER in Investment Trust land. We are talking about c60% uplift/increase in value over 12 months. - That's amazing outperformance. Thank you very much Blue Planet. The near 20% discount to NAV remains and looks increasingly unjustified. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
28/4/2017 08:15 | Their large weighting of UK + European banks and financials will be currently stimulating portfolio valuations significantly. Good going. Large discount to NAV is unmerited even allowing for offshore structure. Yield great. Very good recent history of excellent stock picking. Up 50% in twelve months- Not many IT's can boast that. Overdue for a re-rating by the market. Wide Bid-offer spread detracts but fund performance makes that spread insignificant in the scheme of things. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
13/2/2017 19:18 | They don't get the timing right most of the time, holding on to real losers for too long and getting rid of some good ones at wrong time. However, with a big leverage it is doing OK in a bull market as raising tide lifting all boats. | riskvsreward
13/2/2017 18:29 | Didn't they get of banks at the wrong time? | topvest
13/2/2017 10:25 | Yes, those Brazil bonds were a canny investment. Looking forward to the big dividend here. | rogerbridge
13/2/2017 09:43 | New 5 year high. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
26/11/2016 16:05 | They are rubbish investment managers. Buying and selling all of the time. No patience. In the end its the high costs that kill any performance opportunity. | topvest
26/11/2016 13:02 | This fund sold out big stakes (top 10 holdings) in anet, nxpi and AAL (American airline), right before all of them took off (rise more than 10 to 20%), after holding them for ages. What idiot. Worse it looks like they have reinvested in bonds when the yields are rising rapidly and tide appears to have turned for bonds. | riskvsreward
10/10/2016 16:29 | NAV upto 55.3p | rogerbridge
09/9/2016 20:08 | Ceaserxzy - its not bad luck its incompetence and tendency to deal in and out of things all the time for no reason. Rubbish investment management! | topvest
09/9/2016 06:35 | Also noted that another holding Ausdrill, which they have hold for ages until the end of July 2016, seemed to have been sold out sometime in August. However, it has almost doubled since Aug. Hope they didn't miss out on the majority of the rise. | riskvsreward
08/9/2016 21:17 | You cannot believe the investment skill or bad luck of the fund manager of this trust. It has held American Airline through thin and thick for large part of an year, and then managed to sell it out, most like at a fair loss, to just in time to miss out on a 10% rise in just a week. | ceaserxzy
24/8/2016 20:02 | Received the divi too. | rogerbridge
24/8/2016 07:38 | Chunky dividend received. Thanks Blue Planet. Please keep 'em coming. QP | quepassa
15/8/2016 18:49 | NAV up another couple of pence | rogerbridge
08/8/2016 16:51 | Yes, but still a dog fund! Hyperactive and too high costs. | topvest
08/8/2016 12:19 | NAV no up to 53.54p | rogerbridge
27/7/2016 11:53 | Thanks for the heads-up. QP | quepassa |
