          Block Shield Contract Win with Major US Automotive Supplier          

Block Shield Corporation plc, the provider of innovative electronic components
and processes utilised in electromagnetic compatibility (`EMC') and Radio
Frequency Identification (`RFID') applications, is pleased to announce that its
wholly-owned subsidiary WaveZero Inc (`WaveZero'), a leader in Electromagnetic
Interference, Radio Frequency Interference and Electrostatic Discharge
shielding solutions has won an initial six-month blanket order contract to
provide EMC solutions for a multi-year programme with a leading automotive
supplier (the `Client').

The Client is a major supplier of systems, components, and engineering services
for the majority of car manufacturers worldwide. WaveZero's EMC shielding
solutions have been chosen by the Client's Telematics Automotive Systems
division to protect a United States automaker's voice activated mobile phone
and digital music system that will be installed as standard in a range of car
models to be launched this year. The Client's decision to contract WaveZero was
made after a significant evaluation of several suppliers, including ones using
conventional technologies such as conductive painting and metal taping.
WaveZero's ability to reliably both shield sensitive components from external
interference as well as to address EMC compliance was a key factor in the
selection. In addition, the Client was impressed by the durability and
performance of Block Shield's EMC solutions.

WaveZero supplies many leading OEMs and contract manufacturers with innovative,
environmentally friendly EMI/RFI/ESD shielding solutions, including Form/Met
shields and DeepCoat vacuum metallisation services. These products and services
for EMC shielding are fulfilled through facilities in Sugar Grove, Illinois,
US, and in Shanghai, China, providing the benefits of US-based pilot runs with
the convenience of US-based or China-based volume production. The solutions are
designed to reduce the risks of non-compliance and field malfunction while
reducing weight - ensuring EMC compliance with IEC Standard 60601-1-2, RoHS,
WEEE, FDA and FCC requirements.
