Wishful thinking - this is terrible. What is wrong with BLS?

I'm out chaps - utilised the cash for WCC and the loss will be handy in offsetting gains. Whilst I still think BLS has potential it's the opportunity cost that I'm thinking of. May well revisit if it drifts lower.

Good luck to all

Cannot remember if they were on my radar when I decided my submission; however, I still believe in BLS.

Content at the moment on winning the May comp and currently chasing the No 1 position in the Annual.

I held a few BLS a fair while ago, I sold out and have watched ever since. I made the classic mistake of investing too early, in a promising, early stage tech company with all still to prove.

They do look pretty tempting now at these levels. BLS seem to be building momentum with sales and the potential for explosive RFID growth remains.

The £2m pre tax for 2008 is 6.14p EPS according to digital look with 10.45p for 2009.

My reservations are the chart, still pointing the wrong way and the last trading statement was very positive although the the paragraph below from the update leaves a little scope for disappointment IMO.

"Respectively, the Group expects to report results for the period ending 28
February 2007 broadly inline with current market expectations and anticipates
becoming cash flow positive during the first half of the current year"

It's vagueness of "broadly" that makes me uneasy. Good to see some familiar names here, am I being a bit cynical with the trading update?

Azalea, Bet you're glad BLS aren't in your annual Stockchallenge!

Ah,but the fat lady has yet to stop singing. Lets wait to see what the next results tell us. I believe the EU law enacted this July will have significant posiitve implications for BLS.

Yes and holding. July should see the EU law enacted which governs hazardous substances used in electronic equipments; BLS is a leader in the field. The share price has been dragging its feet these past few months despite a solid footprint in China. It needs to get on a lot more PI radar/watch list, the Shares mag tip might do that.I bought on the IC recc last year, There is a great story here and given its small size and leading technology, I would not be surprised if it got taken out this year.DYOR

BLS has announced its first sale of its completely integrated module designed with the specific application of manufacturing EMI and EMC components for the electronics industry. The first sale of $700,000 plus licence and royalty fee (company T/O for H1 2006 was £1.71m)has been made to Valde Fiberoptics - its first partner in China. Further modules are in production at its U.S. plant and will be delivered in due course.

I believe this initial sale represents a major break through for BLS as it clearly recognises its new innovative technology vis a vis the E.U. law (effective 1/7/07)banning the placing on its market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than an agreed level of hazardous substances including lead.

Edit; I have added 1800 shares.

This baby will have its day in July 07 when the EU law comes into force - signifcantly favouring BLS products using non hazardous environmental friendly technology. Decent buying today.

The key to BLS promising prospects and the very reason causing me to buy, is the EU law to be passed in July 2007 banning the use of hazardous materials in electronic equipment. This law will very quickly draw the global attention of electronics manufacturers wishing to trade with the very large, important and expanding EU community and is already evidenced by the recent contract wins for BLS technology from some of the biggest names in their respective fields. Sitting with an share price 50% below its 12 month high at a 'small change' market value of £36.6m(IC), I believe BLS future is assured just as I believe its days as an independent company are numbered!

Just read the IC article. Fair and balanced. 18.3 is quite high but I suspect BLS are still too cheap.

I will look to buy again at anything less than 120
