25/8/2015 20:26 | 20% voted against BM. That's quite a big chunk against him. If he fails to deliver, his position will be all the more precarious. He's been served notice by 1 in 5 today that it just isn't good enough. Let's see what happens next. | langster
25/8/2015 20:15 | Any updates from the agm would be helpful What was SC wearing? | geheimnis2
25/8/2015 19:36 | AGM voting. 20% of those voting voted against BM re-election, which was the biggest vote against any of the resolutions. That's quite a protest vote against the CEO and/or his options. The vote for BM was 86m votes (22m against). RG and Toscafund together have declared 95m shares I think - so it looks like RG and/or Toscafund did not vote. The next least popular resolution was the share buyback authorisation curiously, where 17% voted against. Last year, as context, I see 29% voted against the appointment of UK. What was the issue there, does anyone know/remember? | 1gw
25/8/2015 18:48 | Sikh, I hope I fall into the banter category? | stocky
25/8/2015 18:11 | BM et al would have been aware of the impact of their actions You've got to be joking! | leluot3
25/8/2015 17:56 | Thanks football. Interesting. So the Strong are taking from Pensioners? This world has no morales. Why the sudden turning on Barkboo? I tend to agree with Kendo that we will receive a lowball bid. The cash in the bank and the tech does not warrant this shareprice, but it has been manoeuvred to these lows. BM et al would have been aware of the impact of their actions and the noises in the press. Nothing wrong with feigning shock when asked. :) | stocky
25/8/2015 17:51 | Surprised anyone will have any money in anything to do with Mike Lynch. | prambigear
25/8/2015 17:51 | Welcome back Kendo ... that certainly cleared the air! :-) I'm also a bit suspicious about this huge option package ... and would not be surprised if it is taken private. | alex1621
25/8/2015 17:42 | Thanks football. Appreciate the update. | lance corporal winstanley ash
25/8/2015 17:35 | I guess he seen them in the flesh and came to the correct conclusion that they did not have his interests in mind. I've worked overseas and in the UK. We have our fair share of rogues (e.g. QPP) but we are amateurs compared to some parts of the world ... lying, fraud, thieving, corruption ... I suspect they teach it in their local business schools. It might not be politically correct to say so, but it is nonetheless correct! | alex1621
25/8/2015 17:31 | lol kendo! sorry to hear that you and quim have lost your shirts on this one! just a thought? | geheimnis2
25/8/2015 17:28 | I suspect Kendo will be making a reappearance ... The further fall in the share price today suggests that the AGM was not that well received. Geh2 ... I'm guessing that your investment in Blinkx is pretty insignificant, given your relentless wind-ups? I'm glad I was never tempted to reinvest. | alex1621
25/8/2015 17:28 | kendo no apology necessary MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! | geheimnis2
25/8/2015 17:25 | gowlane - the "upbeat" bit is RhythmOne. The blinkx team is clearly enthusiastic about its potential and its scalability. Dwight talked about now taking on the owner of the retail chain as a client rather than just the owner of the corner shop. They also seem to believe they are to some extent returning to being a tech company with the "supercomputer" power and integrated solution they have put in place for RhythmOne, and moving away from being just another "me too" advertising platform. So there is exciting potential there, but it's a question of whether you trust the same team that gave us all the products that sank without trace apart from ending up on malware lists to now execute and deliver on such a big project as RhythmOne. The recruitment of Dwight Ringdahl and Sudi Herle is presumably meant to address this weakness, but will they have strong enough marketing support to see it through? | 1gw |
