Well, Brian's timing could not have been better.Black Monday he awaited go reveal his failures...Well he had to I suppose?He ran out of closets to hide into and with RG, Tosca and the City gunning for him, he eventually caved in and provided the clarity he should have done 12 months ago?I mean, would it not have been better go hit 14p then, rather than 27 hours before the AGM?Too many Asian cooks in the kitchen bragging about who can cook the vindaloo rather than giving us good old home made curry!!BRIAN is a crook too just like Suranga, however BRIAN still gets paid when he sells the company at 51p, where as SC will not.Blnx a once great company that has just been continually run by very clever crooks and 'far to long

The comments regarding Core/Non-Core...

Bod expecting:
H1 revenues $85m-$95m...

Core growth 75%..$55m ($31m).. +$24m increase
Core expected to be 2/3rds (30%) of total revenue...

Non-Core decline $30m ($75m).. a drop of $45m...


Last year, Core didn't include AdKarma, AllMedia. There was a partial contribution from Lyfe...

Not sure exactly how much they contributed to revenue this H1, say $12m ($10m for Adkarma alone)...

Stripping out those revenues (Adkarma etc) from the expected Core Revenue...
like for like Core increased approx $12m to $43m, or 39%....


Given H1 revenue is expected to be $85m-$95m, we could struggle to make $200m revenue for the fy...

STT, what are your thoughts on
Blinkx seeing 75% growth in the core business which accounts for 2/3 of the revenue. Do you believe as they say that the plc will be profitable in 6-12 months? Appreciate it if you don't answer my question with a question.

LCWA - actually it seems like you've mentioned the 75% growth a few times today. The problem is that the core business isn't very profitable compared to the non-core business which is in serious decline.

"...due to early stage unit economics and scale, the profitability of Core product lines will not match that of the Non-Core product lines during the remainder of the Period"

So in H1 they are losing more profitable revenues and not quite replacing them with less profitable revenues. That's not a great recipe for success.

If the growth of the newly declared "core business" continues at this sort of rate then it should become more profitable fairly quickly due to scale, although they seem to be suggesting that they also need to do some more cost cutting to get back to actual profitability in the next 6 to 12 months - or is that profitability pre-exceptional and acquisition costs?

So we have to hope that this time they can follow through on the apparent potential of the opportunity and deliver sustainable profitable growth. But a rational investor might be sceptical given their history of so far failing to produce sustainable profitable growth from all the exciting things they have bought or launched.

LCWA...have just re-read the update. The amount of detail is good and what is set out under the 'product development' section is fascinating. There is no doubt that a huge amount of good work has been undertaken in a fairly short period of time. 1R is a quality outfit and seems to have its finger on the market pulse. The shifting of their data from fourteen legacy data centres into - I believe - the cloud cannot have been easy. The level of growth shown by 1R is excellent - just need to see that it is profitable growth now.

Let us now see what the AGM brings and whether there is a flow of positive news thereafter.

For all the noise,not one person has mentioned the 75% growth experienced in the core business. Core business accounted for 2/3 of the revenue.

Stocky seems a bit let down and deflated, somebody really should take him aside and explain gently to him about 'the cunning plan', 'the corner' and 'the 40% er',

all of which we have been listening to ad infinitum on here since Moses was a little boy, but given the source of these ideas none of them was ever thought to be worth the proverbial 'pitcher of warm spit'

and so it has turned out
