Alex, 10-20k? Don't hold me to your exact trading multiples - you are far too timid in your approach to be a six figure player.

When buying a property, do you take 6 months, look at 1000's,never decide, then a year later go back to your original choice - which by now has become 10% more expensive to purchase. lol

Spooky how I know you so well, ah?

they are probably super sensitive to anything that can be twisted at the UK investor conference this year

Normally we shouldn't even be talking about something like this, but it has been magnified from a routine event into a talking point, seems like an own goal, not well handled at all, why not wait another year to change?

If a Company announces a process and has the approval of shareholders then they should stick by it...Blnx bod seem to forget that they are accountable to their shareholders...

The change of auditor in itself is a good thing, that is what is so frustrating about the botched up RNS. It is good practice to change auditor every few years so that the auditor doesn't get too cosy with the company and its practices.

In this case, the audit committee recommended tendering for a new auditor and the company told the shareholders this well in advance. The company conducted a tender and selected not only a new auditor but also a big and well-known one. Couldn't be better.

Why undo all that good work with an unexplained decision (to bring the appointment forward), announcing a new auditor just before the company's year-end and leading a reasonable person to infer that the appointment was somehow in line with the AGM resolution when in fact it was completely at odds with it?

Thanks to all those who have expressed support for me raising the issue.

Shroder,

according to the rns, Globo changed their auditor AFTER year end.... Blnx changed theirs 1 month BEFORE their year end..

The rns also states that GBO asked their old auditors to resign after year end...

Strange how GBO's announced the auditor change 2 months after they asked the ex-auditor to resign...

I'm not sure that auditor change means much, it could be a break from the past links. The danger is that they did so because Deloitte's would not play ball with some accounting treatment ... given 2014 the finals will come under a great deal of scrutiny, and Deloitte's may have taken a stricter tone to avoid being sued if a problem crops up later. Barky, good morning. I'm glad I'm amusing you. I was on the thread when loafofbread posted, so replied. When your getting paid by ADVFN to bash you get a better system! I guess that's what your alluding to. I cheat you know, and I'm always right!

Very good post sikh.

It explains a lot about his attitude.

I suspect that he has not told his wife yet.

Living a lie cannot be easy for him.

He has my sympathy.

NOT!

Incidentally, we had a change of auditor on GBO sometime ago.

Now that was a proper clanger of epic proportions. Everything about it was terrible, giving the bears a foot in the door which has since started to close.

Sentiment is everything with stocks such as GBO/BLNX, hopefully blinkx will follow Globo's steady recovery.

I see Mark Opzoomer, Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee decided to buy a shedload of stock before this recent announcement?

Now - that guy don't gamble.....you draw your own conclusions.
