07/4/2016 10:36 | Why Sorrell is wrong about the in-house programmatic trend Is this going to be a trend?... advertisers buying direct from publishers through in-house solutions... ""In-housing" has become an umbrella term for advertisers challenging the programmatic solutions offered by their existing media agency and exploring different operating models that suit them and their own structure." | sikhthetech

07/4/2016 10:17 | yesterday's vol was high.. seems like we're back to low vols??? Be interesting to see if RG reacts to the TU by increasing/reducing his holding... | sikhthetech
07/4/2016 10:13 | lol... over 9 yrs they've raised $165m .. bought AdKarma in 2014 & RhythmMedia in 2013... so AFTER many years of bad purchases, they decided to do some 'hedging'...doh!!! Not much visionary there... more like try to catch up with the industry than lead it... | sikhthetech
07/4/2016 10:05 | John John - "One great bet can also cover not so good ones, eh..." Yes - it is known in the trade as hedging. doh! As for "an achievement.." if we were a rock band our chart position with competitors would be more than competitive! | barkboo
07/4/2016 09:59 | seems like the market is still catching up with the positive TU? | geheimnis2
07/4/2016 09:56 | MidasX ... perhaps the annual report will give better information. If the acquired businesses are doing well, in theory, they should be worth more than was paid for them. | alex1621
07/4/2016 09:52 | They've raised over $165m through placings.. I would hardly call buying Adkarma a "one great acquisition can cover many not so good ones" an achievement.. One great bet can also cover not so good ones, eh... | sikhthetech
07/4/2016 09:44 | Barky, I would agree with you if I could see the evidence that the two acquisitions quoted by MidasX are delivering revenue growth and profitability, but that information is seldom, if ever, released. In theory, if both businesses are growing and increasing in profitability then Blinkx cash + acquisitions will be worth more than present market cap. I'm not sure that they are though. | alex1621
07/4/2016 09:38 | Football, what is stopping the Adkarma owners from buying in the open market? | stocky
07/4/2016 09:30 | Alex - one great acquisition can cover many not so good ones. I have been arguing that very point with you on the BLNX buys for 18 months - glad to see you have come round to the correct view. | barkboo
07/4/2016 09:16 | We're currently in Tosca's hands...Come June, we'll be at their highest 12 month purchase price, around 30p....Will they make a move at around that sp?Similar happened at INTQ, so it wouldn't surprise me.. | sikhthetech
07/4/2016 09:15 | The reaction to that last update was the most ridiculous ever played on this stock - do MM's really think investors are that stupid? Some took advantage, some folded. My hand was reformed some time back - did you notice the usual ADVFN rags with their many names come on here to help mug the mugs? lol Around 12 addresses cover approximately 150 rag operator names! If you fall for the ADVFN short operating game, and they dont hide it very well - you deserve to be sick on their SCAMPI! | barkboo
07/4/2016 09:07 | stocky that's about 17mil new shares and blinkx as been at round about 404mil for ages | football
07/4/2016 08:57 | Morning All, I wonder if the previous owners of Adkarma now have stock in Blinkx? | stocky
07/4/2016 08:11 | Midas XGood point, but why do you think the market values the company less? Did Blinkx overpay? Are these purchased businesses profitable? I was pretty suspicious about AdKarma because they only revealed a few facts that suggested the company was growing fast and generating high profits. The suspicion was the price, why would they sell a great business at a relatively low price? | alex1621
07/4/2016 08:09 | gowlane - fair comment but Brian inspires no confidence whatsoever - the market continues to see the stock as a 'bargepole' stock - and that's no surprise based on their record so far I think short/medium term the only hope for PI's is as you suggest a takeover or merger - probably around 30p!!! | leluot3
07/4/2016 07:36 | Henchard 6 Apr'16 - 10:03 - 106055 of 106079 2 0 MidasX You say "Ok so with £53.9 Million in cash the whole of Blinkx is valued at £18.85 Million LOL!" My point was that the market cap was only £18.85 Million over and beyond the cash holdings, not that there was a discount to cash! We paid £39.7 Million for Rhythn New Media London, England and San Francisco, CA - 3 December 2013 - blinkx plc ("blinkx" or the "Company"), the Internet Media platform that connects audiences with brands through professionally generated content, announces that it has today entered into an agreement (the "Acquisition Agreement") to acquire Rhythm NewMedia Inc. ("Rhythm"), a leading premium mobile video advertising technology platform focused exclusively on smartphones and tablets, for a total consideration of US$65.0 million (GBP39.7 million) (the "Acquisition"). The cash component of the Acquisition consideration of c.US$29.5 million (GBP18.0 million) will be funded through the Company's cash balances and proceeds from the placing (the "Placing") announced separately today, with the remainder through the issue of new ordinary shares of the Company. We paid $20 Million for Adkarma London, England and San Francisco, CA - 19 December 2014 - blinkx plc ("blinkx" or the "Company"), the Internet Media platform that connects audiences with brands through professionally generated content, today announces that it has entered into an agreement (the "Acquisition Agreement") to acquire AdKarma, LLC ("AdKarma" or the "Acquisition"), a leading video supply side platform ("SSP") for an initial consideration of $15m in cash plus an additional $5m in cash or stock at the Company's option, payable on the first anniversary of the transaction (the "Acquisition Consideration"). The initial consideration for the Acquisition will be funded entirely from the Company's existing cash reserves. | midasx
07/4/2016 04:36 | We'll take that as a yes then? | alex1621 |
