22/4/2022 22:46 | ...Unfortunately, the central banks have caused this by ignoring the need to raise interest rates at least a year ago and getting totally hooked on quantitative easing. Is this true? Surely we are not suffering from an overheating economy? This inflation comes from rapidly rising real increases in commodity and energy prices. Firstly post the pandemic and latterly from all too obvious causes. | pvb
22/4/2022 20:32 | Hi Jonwig. Yes, recession is better than rampant inflation though. Unfortunately, the central banks have caused this by ignoring the need to raise interest rates at least a year ago and getting totally hooked on quantitative easing. The bubbles are starting to burst, one by one. Greed has turned to fear. | topvest
22/4/2022 06:44 | Fear of steep increases in US interest rates, recession. Fed tightening is frightening. | jonwig
21/4/2022 22:36 | Then today happened - sitting on the side-lines now. Its gone to a 2%+ premium when the mining sector just massively fell out of favour. NA was a bit of a blood-bath tonight. But who knows what tomorrow brings. | podgyted
20/4/2022 20:57 | Closing in on an all time high. | bionicdog
08/4/2022 10:34 | JP Morgan suggests 40% rise in commodities | nimrod22
04/4/2022 13:51 | You were right on the NAV, the share price should respond! | bramcych
02/4/2022 14:28 | Added some late on Friday afternoon as the underlying shares rose strongly and strangely BRWM's share price didn't. Looking at it this afternoon (using the top shareholdings) I get a NAV of @790p giving a discount of 5%+, which seems high given the popularity of the sector at the moment. BWDIK | podgyted
15/3/2022 14:17 | Hi Disco - Yes - if you click on the Financials tab above directly from this page it will take you to the BRWM page that gives the details under dividends about halfway down. | apparition1
15/3/2022 13:11 | Is Ex div (final at 27p) this Thursday? | disc0dave45
15/3/2022 10:09 | Also fears of a slowdown in demand due to the China covid situation I suspect. But I took the opportunity to top up a little before the ex-div date | alan pt
15/3/2022 09:23 | Some profit taking here today ! | masurenguy
11/3/2022 11:37 | CAPD looks like a cheap way into precious metals via the'picks and shovels' route on a low P/E of 6. It takes stakes in miners in part payment of some fees. | davebowler
08/3/2022 16:32 | Yes, these have been very good to me. Previously held them from mid 2009 till mid 2012. Then started nibbling again in mid 2015 (a bit too early), and continued to average down until sept 2015. They are now my biggest holding by valuation, and second biggest (after HGT) by profit - which i've held since 2012 (and which i've top sliced twice,by 35%, each time its gone up another 100%). | carterit
08/3/2022 11:34 | Great Results and a 27pence per share final dividend. Ex divi on 17th March, payable 19th May. | nimrod22
08/3/2022 11:21 | Fantastic results. This is a core mining holding for me. Just a tad unfortunate that I don't hold more! | topvest
08/3/2022 08:36 | Very good point Jonwig. | flyer61
08/3/2022 07:57 | Worth adding that these results tell the story only to 31 December. The outlook section barely mentions the invasion, though it helps to know that direct exposure to Russia is only 0.1% of NAV. | jonwig
08/3/2022 07:22 | Jeeeees, cracking final divi, payable on the 19/05 subject to approval. | tonytyke2
08/3/2022 07:17 | Wow - final dividend up by 225%. That certainly will attract attention ! | masurenguy
08/3/2022 07:07 | Final div 27p...phew, that's going to attract attention | donald pond
07/3/2022 14:46 | I'm getting a nosebleed. | bionicdog |
