29/2/2020 13:48 | I hold six investment trusts in my SIPP, and they all took a severe bashing last week. THRG dropped a whopping 18.28% !! In just one week the average drop was 17%, which is quite a bit higher than the global markets dropped in the last week. Not sure I understand why ITs suffered worse (other than travel related stocks) compared to other stocks and indices.. Anyway, here's the drop I observed on the 6 trusts mentioned above, in the last 5 market days only - 18.95% ATT - Allianz Technology Trust 18.28% THRG - BlackRock Throgmorton Trust 18.85% MNL - Manchester & London Inv Trust 14.86% PCT - Polar Capital Trust 13.69% SMT - Scottish Mortgage Trust 17.39% SSON - Smithson Inv Trust NB the average 5 day drop across these 6 IT's is: 17% - quite shocking really! | basstrend
27/2/2019 20:58 | I've bought a few to hold long-term. Its not the best time for small-cap investment, but this is a good trust with an excellent 10 year record and I wanted to add it to my collection! | topvest
01/11/2018 11:17 | i bought in this am | nimbo1
25/10/2018 09:14 | Good buying territory around here I think. | scottishfield
05/6/2018 20:45 | This is continuing to perform well, | gorse
25/4/2018 10:22 | Sold out, discount has now narrowed significantly and I feel in a risk off mode. | mad foetus
10/4/2018 22:24 | Very pleased with performance of THRG. | gorse
06/4/2018 17:35 | SP back to high. Great performance given the overall market recently. Discount still a bargain at 11%. | deadly
10/5/2017 14:35 | This just keeps on giving, discount closing slightly but mainly great NAV performance. | mad foetus
28/4/2017 10:49 | NAV now above £5, slow and steady and still at a big discount. | mad foetus
05/4/2017 09:59 | It's sometimes amazing how irrational the market can become. Given the nav performance, the discount for this trust should be much less than the average for small British companies. Instead the discount is one of the highest. Actually I hope the share price doesn't go up much today; I have money waiting to go into my isa tomorrow and it's all going into Throgmorton. | biggest bill
04/4/2017 09:54 | Just bought two decent sized chunks, discount is 20% ATM, and NAV performance best in sector over 3 years | mad foetus
23/3/2017 11:39 | I've added as well; the discount is ludicrous given the long term record. | biggest bill
20/3/2017 12:46 | Topped up again as discount is over 17% | mad foetus
15/2/2017 09:38 | Topped up, discount silly and will catch up with HSL and BRSC shortly imo | mad foetus
10/2/2017 15:54 | Nice move here - and on BRSC. I own BRSC but not Throgmorton - simply because they are almost exactly the same! Not sure why they have 2. | nimbo1
06/2/2017 12:14 | NAV up by 5p today, discount still silly at around 18%. | mad foetus
20/12/2016 08:40 | Lovely rise recently, long way still to go mind | mad foetus
17/11/2016 08:57 | I've been buying in recently, the discount is silly | mad foetus
16/11/2016 22:48 | Probably the biggest bargain on the market today. | professor pettigrew
18/2/2014 16:44 | THRG Took a hit on Blinx last month | tiger20
10/9/2013 15:13 | Any chartists out there, please ? | coolen
