29/8/2014 14:17 | Daz...Trustnet is still using Feb 14 holdings. The list above is the latest from Blackrock website. XAR has rightly been slashed. | henryatkin
25/8/2014 15:38 | Henry (or anyone), Looking at the portfolio breakdown for BlackRock Smaller Companies IT on Trustnet, there is a different list for the top ten holdings compared with your link above. This looks like the same investment trust but perhaps I'm not comparing exactly the same trust. Any help appreciated. Daz | daz

23/2/2014 15:15 | Interesting list of holdings but canot find list of holding and valuations at the end of the previous year Dec 2013. Link from news 2013 Feb defaults to the December 2013 list of holdings so one cannot evaluate the correctness or otherwise of managment in stock managment/selection. However with most of the portfolio companies the holdings are too large to sell in the market and would (imo) need to be dome on a market putthrough with another institution. It will be interest to track their Hyder holding where they have just taken a 20%+ hit and the Judges holding where tehy must be sitting on a multy 100%++ profit and where the market is very thin and based on valuation they must have held some 60,000 odd shares. Well done those who bought 4 years ago - Goes to prove one of my ADVFN rules. The Shares with the quietest threads very often have given the best returns. | pugugly
23/2/2014 14:16 | Hi Harry. I don't take anything for granted as BRSC only returned 20% from 1994 to 2004. UKX returned 35% over the same period. Large caps do have some periods of outperforming smallcaps. P/E values of smaller companies are currently much higher than their normal 10 year average level and higher than Bluechips in many cases. I guess its a case of keeping an eye on the trend lines and having a stop-loss prepared. | henryatkin
20/2/2014 09:42 | hi all - added this into my SIPP hopefully one of those to put away and just watch it grow | harry the haddock
