Posted at 25/5/2001 14:00 by crooke @ work. I have my mobile on pager and thus vibrates when an sms comes through. I have also personalised "pager" such that it doesn't beep but it may be set up as default.must go. Worked fine all week i thought but perhaps not today. |
Posted at 23/5/2001 20:37 by cassiopeia In general I am getting the ADFVN alerts before the mysharealert ones although it is difficult to compare because mysharealert rounds the price off so both systems are providing alerts at slightly different times. The main problem I have is hearing the blasted beep from my mobile unless I am right next to it. My Trium mars mobile does not seem to have an volume adjuster for the SMS messages only the main phone, and alarm clock. Going to the New Forest tomorrow so big test, might try WAP if i can fiure out how it works (see other thread!) |
Posted at 27/4/2001 23:31 by bj444 Today was AMAZING... I was doing jobs around the house and garden. The Alerts came all day long, telling me about rising techs ; then at 4 pm I sold Atlantic Telecom (over the phone) which has risen 15 % since I bought it YESTERDAY !! Didn't need the PC at all. It's nice to have a totally different day, no PC, and make a profit TOO !! Reminder to ADVFN, as to what is a REALLY USEFUL alert - BEEP-BEEP "BOOKHAM has risen to 320p from 312p. " That's what you get from MyShareAlert.com , its good. |
Posted at 23/4/2001 21:09 by bj444 These SMS alerts give you the LATEST PRICE when a share moves 2% (or whatever you choose). Example: BEEP-BEEP "PSION has risen to 98.25p from 97.00p. Sent 12-Apr-2001 11:48:34 " |
