You're right Neilyb, IC's John Barron holds these in his Investment Trust income portfolio and this week mentioned the "5.3 per cent yield and solid track record."

In the article he also makes a compelling argument for having exposure to commodities, not least because sentiment is rock bottom, with the sector friendless and "close to a record underweight in portfolios" of many fund managers.

Have held these in my SIPP for a while as a cheap way to get global exposure to a wide range of large-cap miners, oil majors etc. Have been very happy to collect the 5.3% yield and reinvest dividends while awaiting a re-rating.

I am informed that these got another mention in IC and todays volume reflects that with lots of buying. 114 is the highest paid for some time. Great stock to hold and great to see todays interest.

Divi re-invested - love this share..............gives me access to super majors without having to pay £20+ per share.

Also gives me quarterly DIVIs which personally I prefer to interim and final DIVIs.

Current year yield about 5.4%. Up until a few weeks ago, don't recall a commodities fund ever yielding this much in the past. I've doubled up.

I like these and was pleasantly surprised to find that they do a DRIP dividend which suits me perfectly as I am building my long term portfolio. Quarterly divi is another great feature.

I like these a lot. If you look deeper in to what the fund consists of, then for me it gives me access to some very heavyweight stocks that to be quite honest are out of my price range to buy in any great quantity. These:

Anadarko Petroleum - USA
Antofagasta - Latin America
BHP Billiton - Global
BP - Global
Chevron - Global
Eni - Europe
ExxonMobil - Global
Glencore - Global
Rio Tinto - Global
Total - Global

A nice quartly dividend and exposure to a great portfolio of companies. I believe this stock is undervalued at present.

Investec;

''BlackRock Commodities Income (BRCI) also has Total in its top 10 at 3.8%. The fund has recently regained its premium after trading at a discount from September of last year to mid-January of this year. It currently trades at a premium of 2.0% against its 1 year average of par.''

CYN is surely better value at a 15% discount to NAV.
