Cabi
Yes key feature for the TikTok crowd
However it’s not easy as it requires AI and that has to be changed for perhaps.
One business model for Ai is being given a certain amount of Ai credits on your account then pay via a top up to get more. |
I hope they use the incremental storage pricing model, a bit like Google drive, as the user will be tied to BB storage. This will enable a cheap and easy entry into the editor which could attract many more initial user subscriptions. I think it may be a big ask at the beginning to ask for, say 30/month. Take-up at that price may be slow. I would rather see 500k users at 3.99 than 10k at 30. And, of course, as the storage requirement grows, so does the price to the user, who is by now, tied in to the product.Either way, as I have previously stated, unless we are involved in a sale, the revenue growth will probably not be steep enough to avoid another raise. Not to be considered a problem, just a process on the path. |
"If elevate.io could do auto captions/subtitles that would win over a big chunk of CapCut users."
they could easily do it ...but..they would probably be using a third-party software to do so which carries a royalty cost...
Giving away these things for "free" isnt really a viable option..... it is merely then a loss leader |
"It’s now disappearing behind paywalls"
How easy is it to share a paid user sign-in account amongst a few users...like sharing Netflix account was possible ?... |
CapCut is a pretty poor editor its strength is that it’s tied to TikTok and has some AI generated effects TikTok style surprisingly
It’s now disappearing behind paywalls |
" They'll just manage to do the launch and place into the spike they hope will materialise from that."
no investor offers to buy new shares based on a share price spike !
Any serious placing investors tend to tell you what price they will offer for the new shares ..you wont get far asking them to pay a spike price
It will be down to the BOD to put the potential/risk on the table and SELL the Opportunity...
If they are low on cash then they become Beggars looking for Donors ...unfortunately
unless they have something pretty convincing to lay on the table |
Acquire CapCut
Did you know nearly every video editor has ended up being acquired at some point in its history. |
Cabi, indeed Or Great opportunity for Google (or equivalent) if they bought elevate.io
100 million users within months |
"I don't think they have advertised for over a month "
Well having done a survey and asked a whole load of questions including users social media use, etc ...I suspect they have been using that survey data to plan where to invest marketing funds as effective as possible...
I would not be surprised to see "offers" in the initial pricing ...12 months for the price of 10, or even 6 months for the price of 4 etc ...I would definitely expect pricing in USD,EURO,Sterling as a minimum ... uptake in areas like Canada,Australia will be interesting
With there being no Olympics or World Cup next year they really need to replace that revenue and get the paid launch off to a strong start..
I do however think there are aspects of the price launch ready/almost ready in the background ..ready to be added in in the next month or so..
They must, by now..have a pretty good FAQ ready given all the questions and feedback received as well as have a pretty good understanding on what aspects of the editing processes need some more explanation/training via Blog entries/videos
Youri Hazanov and Nick Lisher now need to show why they were brought on board |
Yes.
And that has never stopped them. |
You're saying it would be better to release poor news just before the company's most important event in many years? |
Bonio, 2% conversion from 300k users would put us most of the way to breakeven. I would expect a rocket in the share price if they declare those numbers in the weeks following paid launch! |
I agree that would sound stronger and more confident than leaving it until the last minute within the declared timescale. |
I don't think they have advertised for over a month. So i assume they are comfortable with the numbers they have testing wise and will plough on when launch arises.
I also think they will launch pre results, they would be mad not to, so likely an early March launch. |
I would guess paid launch is early March
So about 8-10 weeks away |
They'll just manage to do the launch and place into the spike they hope will materialise from that. Presumably hoping they can get it away at 6p again. Might be squeaky bum time. |
Cash at 30 June £5.6m
Cash burn £1.9m per 6 months.
So by end of march should have about £3m left
Which is not a lot to launch a product and keep adequate cash reserves.
Placing coming. |
Did anyone else read the article in yesterday's 'Ireland' section of the Sunday Times ( available on- line) about the several multi- millionaires who are making their fortunes on the I-cloud and storage? Are we going wrong somewhere? |
I don't think anyone is realistically expecting paid launch before March. But it's certainly not out of the question. |
