I doubt it, this is AIM. |
Video RNS does not work for me on LSE says browsers does not support html5 yet on ADVFN ,on same browser, video does work. Wonder if Blackbird can do anything about this problem? |
Great news..
Will we wee a Wooosh today?

Wow, what an exciting surprise this morning!
I am confident that the structure and charging for this early launch is well thought through by our management team. They are living immersed in this market and will know the best way forward.
NickB has often said how good the current editor is, so the package sounds fine to me. This announcement should shock the competition, and create attention in the marketplace, and we will continue to present a constantly moving target with extra important features being added. |
Hyper Al I suspect that they will still offer an introductory period of say a month when it is free. |
Cyberbub The answer is actually available on the screen 1:21 into video RNS. Free version has only 5Gb |
Free - 3 projects, 5GB storage, elevate.io branding added (presumably at end) Paid - unlimited projects, 500GB storage, no elevate.io branding, can add-on additional team members.
Both have 2 users. So Free is basically to try out (including collaboratively), as the projects and storage are extremely limiting, plus has branding added. |
It does mean that by the time they get to SXSW they will have paying users. If they can get a decent number in 4 weeks I'm sure they will publicise it there. Even at £7.5 a month 20K users will yield gross revenues of £1.8M which is getting close to the annual turnover of the original underlying technology. But if I were in their position I would be holding back any more good news to put it on the stall at Austin to demonstrate that BIRD is now really flying. |
" The Creator payment plan has been launched whilst elevate.io is still feature light, so that the Company can get feedback from paying customers and understand their requirements. Data is key to elevate.io's product led growth strategy"
Really, after all this time?
Blimey. |
I would hope the prosumer tier is not too far behind |

It will be interesting how many of the 40k existing users convert to the £7.50 deal |
Hello… where is everyone? SSB NickB Cabi1… I think everyone getting ready for the party or gone to the bank to open new account 😊😊128522;Existing days ahead with unique features and technology of 21st century! Common 50% off only £7.50 next year it will be £75🙃🙃;🙃 |
Cyber
The general thought was they needed more than just the current product with storage.
And what are they offering....
It's hardly inspiring.
No talk of affiliates, marketplace, advertising etc.
There is going to be a very dilutive placing before year end. |
The pricing seems smart. It also undercuts Sequence by 65-75% on their Team and Studio options with comparable users and storage. |
So am I correct in thinking that this is the lowest paid tier so they have adjusted their strategy a bit as the original plan was initially for prosumers. Makes sense to me with capcut and scenery and sequence problems discussed. They like their bells and whistles which may be round the corner. Will they be retained? |
How easy is it to cancel the £7.50 subscription. At £7.50 many will be happy to try provided they can easily cancel. Easy to get a bad reputation if users feel trapped or struggle to cancel.
To be honest I think most will be very happy. Just need to make sure no hiccups happen during implementation of payment gateway. |
Hyper Al, yes I was going to say that the slightly lower than expected £15 fee means we need more users to reach breakeven. But it should attract more users (especially with the 50% off).
I would ignore the £7.50, it's a short-term loss-leader IMO. At £15 I don't think we need 100k paying users. About 20-25k to breakeven I reckon, unless you mean for them to be able to also substantially grow the company?
At £7.50 I would say 50k customers to reach breakeven. Breakeven is the key target now IMO. It completely transforms the company from one always needing another placing on the vicious AIM market, to a fully investible proposition. |
Just need a 100k users at £7.50 per month to more than cover ongoing development costs. |
Great news! That will have caught a few on the hop. |
Presumably they will now also start significantly ramping up the marketing, Google AdWords, social media, influencers etc? |
cyberbub
I hope they have elevate.io fully loaded with all they have available by SXSW |
I guess that someone willing to pay £7.50/month, are doing so for a 50% discount in perpetuity. That’s quite sensible really- at least in terms of locking in real users and honing in on the people worth talking to. |
