What has been baffling me for over a year is that they keep adding features but the core (the very hard bit) just doesn’t deliver which will drive users mad and they will abandon it I can guarantee you that.
Try that on Teams and the whole team will scream and deadlines wil be missed costing serious money
That’s why Avid rules over Adobe in serious editing situations it won’t let you down.
This is why I’m not interested in flash features or vertical video I want and need quality engineering of the core and we have that because Sumit absolutely demands it.
elevate is super smooth I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t.
You can’t scale that type of design it’s falling over with tens or hundreds of users when the market is millions to a hundred million.
And that’s why we are going to be worth a lot of money on our own or if acquisition from a big tech company then it has to have global hyper scale that works |

Sequence seems like a bit of a disaster, to be going live!! Sounds like you have to put your card details in, probably because they're doing what we thought Elevate might do, you get a free month before your card is actually charged? But there doesn't seem to be a permanently free level?Hopefully the guy who joined Discord will realise there's a much better place to put his investment :-) He may of course steal some of Elevate's ideas :-( But he can't steal the codec :-) |
JTMG - it does vertical but does this weird thing where takes ages to change the format of it in the program monitor itself, and then ages if you want to change back. You do this by changing the Timeline settings - it struggles with this, but helps if you refresh the browser.
NickB - several times the program monitor just started flashing red and black for ages I think because it couldn't handle skipping around the timeline or something. It was like being in a German disco. It was also playing back in v low definition a lot, particularly early on - perhaps hadn't finished processing.
Adding several tracks to the timeline was a bit of a nightmare and really wasn't intuitive how it worked - how they've done the timeline is just weird and doesn't feel like a professional editor at all. It struggled with adding text initially - displaying in several places.
If I click on Invite it tells me I have to upgrade.

They've done that several times on the way down. It does result in a volume spike but the problem is those traders who have been wise to the trick have used those occasions to make a turn. That further demotivates the buyers and as a result the headfakes from the MM's have a reduced impact each time.
Volume and price will explode here once the seller is done but spotting it is going to be difficult as volume dries up. (Yes it'll be obvious once it's done 25% :D)
As I suggested over a month ago, the cold dark days at the end of February may be the turning point as launch gets within touching distance. |

NickB - you can just now do via website (I think has only just become avaiable). There's a Signup button, put email address in, they want credit card details at signup even for Free account.
If you go over 15GB storage it's $15 p/m and they charge your card - not sure if they potentially charge without warning you you're going over. You need to upgrade for 4K output. |

Speaking of Sequence - it's now available. Though perhaps best described as a confusing, buggy disaster. It's more buggy than Veed.io and doesn't seem to do very much. Scenery was waaay better. Ridiculous how much they're trying to charge for something that doesn't seem to really work, or do a lot... I would hate to be them right now.

Looking at the graph for Adobe shows the effect of the launch of Premiere Pro in 2014 - its even more spectacular when not on a log scale. But we will have to get used to BIRDs share price growth being shown that way too. |
