Can it buy shares for you? |
I would say that is from yesterday. Should have been one but it didn't show up. |
500,000 sell
At least we can say it is all placed at 4.5p to 5p and the price is unlikely to go much lower.
I wonder if PM is selling the lot. |
elevate was a clean sheet start, however I would guess a lot of knowledge is transferable.
Tend to think elevate architecture will eventually replace the original forscene architecture at some stage. |

Thanks, very helpful and makes me a lot more confident about the future. I had assumed it was the case concerning Java, but as I have not used Enterprise I was uncertain about the other aspects. It's a long time since my Forscene days!
Exciting times ahead 🙂
ps not sure about digging too deep into the code would go down well with the team as per the elevate.io terms and conditions. Good to know it's basically all the original stuff with appropriate upgrading for modern cloud systems. Still a big task. |
hyper - yes it runs in a browser, it is forscene (only the name changed), and probably still runs as a java applet too. afaik enterprise dev done in java then transpiled to .js using cheerpj: supplier had to do some extra work to support the video playback i recall. so it's really a java app (applet) adapted to run in a browser. elevate.io front end is native html/.js possible they're built on the same server api, haven't looked. |

I assume our current Enterprise product runs in a browser, did it continue on from Forscene? |
It may depend on how much can be imported from our Blackbird enterprise product with ease
Anyway it will be interesting to see, we do have to remember that the launch isn’t the end of development! |
Of course just to stir the pot further there is Meta "Edits" App
"Meta announces a new CapCut rival called Edits" |
Nick
yes....tall order indeed ..i wonder if though they, like others, are struggling to get enough engineers given that there is such a big demand for talent and the cost is far from cheap |
Who will buy CapCut? That as far as I know is not part of the TikTok deal |

I think that depend on engineering time to put in various pro features it’s a big ask to get everything done right to a high standard across all the product variations by end Q1 |
Why would the Chinese Government let a US business take over successful software owned by a Chinese owned company that in the real world will do what its told? 150M users deprived of TT might be very unhappy that POTUS has failed to sponsor a deal. |
"The Pro and Enterprise will need more work to do the extra features they need."
IM did say at one point that Enterprise would indeed come later ...although these things and their timing depends on interest/demand I guess |
Trump will take credit for the deal |
The orange one is a moron, he literally can't keep his mouth shut even about high-profile but confidential business discussions for Tiktok. He'll be announcing the price shortly, probably just after telling his friends to buy. Just like creating a worthless meme coin to cash in millions on his inauguration, by getting his devoted idolisers to buy it. Or selling name-branded Bibles to make more millions. No different to one of these cult TV preachers - a shameless grifter. But they love him for it! Grifting makes America great, apparently :-) |
NickB
Hopefully you are correct makes a lot of sense. |
This is only a guess but I’m not certain that all the paid tiers will launch at the same time in Q1
Free and the first paid tier ‘creative̵7; which will be the lower price to launch
The Pro and Enterprise will need more work to do the extra features they need.
Could be wrong |
If the share price rise last September was due to investing from elevate.io users, then maybe we will see the share price rise by 2.5p per share per 40k users, so maybe share price of 11.5p for 100k users. That's just on the basis of elevate.io free users buying shares, obviously they need to know they can buy shares. To what extent can we promote that elevate.io is owned by a listed company?
Paying users of elevate.io could recover the cost of subscription through ownership of Blackbird shares.
Just my thoughts, no advice intended. |

Lol.😂 I thought Trump wanted to make America great again. It does not help the American balance sheet by him promoting a bidding war by US companies for an overseas company. The other day he wanted US government to take a 50% stake with Oracle for TikTok. These.stories are just a waste of Americas precious internet resources. Just imagine all the energy saved if we did not have rumours and conspiracy theories on the internet servers. Getting read of these would help make America great again. 😂 |
Core users have the benefit for BIRD of paying more than the basic entry price. NickB said above that the software he used was seriously good so if they can get enough of that in the top end paying product they will become a go to choice. Ease of use, speed and quality of output will do its own marketing. |
With the marketing , I think Nick will be a good consultant to ensure the spend is targeted correctly.....very easy to just waft such spend like throwing out seed but not focus it enough on exactly where it is best needed...
Even having a "vast opportunity" still needs initial discipline and focus - IMO
Initially I think they must stay focused on attracting the low hanging fruit of core team users from core areas ...the rest will come later IMO |
